Given the price, of course, it was expected that there would be a smell of heated plastic and not an ideal setting of the plates, however, they are ceramic, and this is already a big advantage for the hair and, no less important, for a ridiculous price you get a straightener, fine and thick corrugation, because the closest such the analogue was the Scarlett model, which tore out the hair and is rather uncomfortable. As for use, it all depends on you: if you want clear waves, hold it longer. I recommend this model with pleasure, it does an excellent job with the corrugation function (as a straightener, the wife does not use it, since it has been 7 years with Rowenta Ultima Elite and I hope it will work for so many more!)
