Great working tool, with excellent reliability. Bought for repair work, and operated mainly in heavy dust and complex materials. Firstly, it is well-assembled, and the materials are strong enough not to break on impact. I didn't drop it much. but it happened a couple of times. The kit included drills, a chisel and a pick. I still use some drills, some of them either remained in the reinforcement or were ground off, as was the case with a chisel. Never failed. It's nice to drill concrete, at the moments of maximum load, it adjusts itself and changes the frequency, preventing overheating (it seems to me). In addition to the drills, there was also a pen. Very handy thing, especially when working on the ceiling. Once saved me from scrolling due to a drill stuck in concrete. I had to buy an additional cartridge, since the crowns mostly go on the clamp itself. There are no problems in terms of power, there has never been something that has not been drilled. In general, a very reliable tool, not afraid of dust, works regularly, under heavy loads. I recommend it as a reliable rotary hammer for all tasks. Reliable, without nuances in work. Quality build and materials. Good drills included. Convenient durable case. Worked well in dust and dirt. Probably nothing, except perhaps the lack of a second cartridge in the kit. ![]() |
The Japanese manufacturer Makita has long been known in the power tool market as a strong middle peasant. Its products have high build quality, the use of durable materials at a reasonable price for products. The HR2630X7 rotary hammer model has also entered the number of convenient, functional and inexpensive tools from Makita.
Features
The tool weighs 2.8 kg, while it is quite ergonomic and comfortable to work in any conditions, including under the ceiling. The length of the power cord (4 m) is enough for repairs in the apartment and even construction work at their summer cottage.
The tool is designed for impact drilling and chiselling in brick, concrete, natural stone, and non-impact drilling in softer materials such as wood, metal, and synthetic composites. Allows you to work with a chisel in 40 positions, and the SDS + keyless chuck provides a quick and convenient change to a chuck with a standard shank to use the tool as a drill/driver. But you will have to buy it additionally.
Technical data
The power of the model is 800 W, and the impact force is 2.4 J. This means that you can knock down plaster or level concrete walls, but you should not hammer a hard surface for a long time, otherwise the tool will overheat. The impact frequency of 4600 beats / min and an idle speed of 1200 rpm make it possible to get accurate holes in concrete with a diameter of 26 mm, in metal 13 mm, in wood 32 mm, and do this job quickly. Electronic depth adjustment with a button eliminates the need for constant measurements and increases productivity.
Multi-level protection
The HR2630X7 is equipped with a safety release clutch to protect against injury during jamming. The on/off button lock is convenient for continuous operation and to protect against accidental pressing. Torque limiter (electronic speed control) stops the drill to protect the user and the tool from accidental blocking of the drill.
For storage and transportation of the tool, a convenient branded plastic case is included in the kit.
As much as we would like to find flaws in the HR2630X7, fortunately, we did not find them. Everything about the punch is balanced and inspires confidence. And the price only highlights it.
