I don't know - I've been using it for over 3 years. There has never been a clean shave from the first everything clean. Bought this razor a few weeks ago. At first I thought to buy Braun or Remington, but for that kind of money there were no models with good reviews, so I decided to look for something else and found this model. The razor shaves very quietly (compared to the previous Remington), shaves smoothly, light. I'm also lucky that the assembly is Dutch.
