However, it struggles with small files, showing slow random read and write speeds of 0.8 MB/s and 2.8 MB/s, respectively, which can lead to longer wait times when backing up folders with numerous documents. The casing is prone to smudging and dust accumulation due to unnecessary perforation on top, which could have been better designed with a solid cover. Despite these minor drawbacks, it remains a reliable option for archiving large files.

It operates steadily, with read and write speeds quite respectable for an HDD in its class (240–250 MB/s). Sequential copying of large files goes briskly, allowing you to easily transfer photo archives without long waits. However, when it comes to working with a bunch of small files (for example, backing up folders with numerous documents), the drive slows down: the random read speed is only 0.8 MB/s, and the write speed is 2.8 MB/s. This is noticeable: files take significantly longer to copy. There are concerns about the casing: it is prone to smudging, fingerprints are left, and dust clings instantly. On top is unnecessary perforation that just collects dust. It would be better if it had a solid cover. Overall, an excellent option for storing a home photo archive. Perfect for archives and movies.
