A year and a half ago, in a new house being designed, I decided to make a cool and silent air conditioning system. He invited a specialist who suggested removing the air conditioners from the rooms altogether and making the system a channel. That is, in each room, ventilation ducts are provided, through which a special duct air conditioner supplies cooled air in summer or heated air in winter. It turns out that the air conditioner itself is outside the room, and its noise does not particularly spread through properly laid ventilation ducts. The number and cross-section of the channels were included in the project, and the air conditioners of suitable power were bought this spring. The house is not small, two floors, so two devices were just enough. We tested this system in the summer and I must say that the system is cool. Only two of these ducted air conditioners cool (or even heat) the air in the whole house at once. Another interesting feature is that you can open the air intake from the street and put the air conditioners and the system into fresh air pressurization mode without running the compressor. The indoor units themselves are installed in utility rooms, in storage rooms. If you open the hatch to access them, the noise is heard clearly, but the rooms are silent. Control from the remote control, as well as at normal models. Air conditioners are expensive, although if you estimate how much they replace individual devices, the price does not look too high. But still, such a ventilation system and air conditioners require regular professional maintenance, cleaning and additional adjustment. According to the mind, this should be done twice a year and it also costs a lot of money. |
