My previous iron, called Scarlet, was a real disaster: it heated up slowly, spit and leaked water instead of steam, and fabrics stuck to its sole. In general, he was no less a problem than a help, and they happened most often when they were not needed at all, that is, in the morning, before going to work. So it was terribly infuriating. That’s why, with my next paycheck, I bought this simple but trouble-free branded iron. Tefal irons don’t often come at an affordable price, but this iron proves that it does happen. It is, of course, not as cool as top models, but it is suitable for regular ironing and performs well. The working surface has a special Teflon coating. It glides very easily on any fabric and under no circumstances sticks to anything at all. Now it doesn’t matter to me at all what I iron, and regular cotton fabric and thin synthetic fabric are ironed equally well. The main thing is to set the temperature correctly and, if necessary, the steam supply. The steam here is not very powerful, but it’s enough for me. I'm so used to using it that I only turn it off from time to time. The iron is also not heavy and fits comfortably in the hand, which is helped by the rubber pad on the handle. It seems like a small thing, but it helps you feel it pleasantly and your hand will never slip. The power is not high, so with intense steam supply it quickly cools down, turns on and then gains temperature again. That is, it is difficult to work continuously in this mode. The length of the wire is about 1.8 meters. This seems to be not bad, but for my conditions I would like two meters, or better yet two and a half. |
