Powerful mini PCs running macOS. They are small-sized, but full-fledged computers, characterized by versatility and affordable cost (among other PC solutions from Apple). Like other Apple Mac computers based on the Intel Core hardware platform, the models in this line use the fourth generation Intel Core i5 CPU (Haswell microarchitecture) with improved integrated graphics core.
The amount of LPDDR3-1600 standard RAM is from 4 to 16 GB, and the memory is physically soldered on the motherboard and its replacement or upgrade is impossible. The storage subsystem can be based on a single HDD, a hybrid Fusion Drive (SSD + HDD), or a single high-speed SSD. The built-in Gigabit Ethernet controller, high-speed dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 adapter are responsible for the communication capabilities of the Apple Mac mini 2014 personal mini-PC.
The rear panel of the case is equipped with an HDMI video output (support for 4K monitors at a refresh rate of 30 Hz), an SD / SDXC card reader, four USB 3.0 connectors and two Thunderbolt v2 ports. The latter type of interface supports data transfer rates up to 20 Gbps and allows you to connect high-quality Apple LED Cinema monitors. Such a mini-PC can easily cope with everyday tasks, provide fast operation of browsers, web applications and various instant messengers. It also shows an acceptable level of performance in specialized software for working with photo and video content.
