![]() | Outdated Product 2 359 ₴ Full-size, high-speed gaming keyboard with durable mechanical switches, rugged Skeleton-style housing, 4 extra keys, and customizable RGB LED backlighting. It is positioned as a product of the middle price category, aimed at a wide range of demanding gamers who want to purchase a reliable gaming keyboard with a fast response time and a reasonable price. It differs from low-cost keyboards in the use of branded linear mechanical Black switches, which are a copy of the German Cherry MX Black switches. The keys have a full travel of 4mm and the actuation point is 1.4mm away. It is able to capture the simultaneous pressing of complex multi-key combinations (N-key rollover technology). The durable frame of the Skeleton case can withstand significant mechanical stress, and keycaps with symbols applied using Double Injection technology will never be erased. Game mode is supported, which provides hardware locking of the Windows key. |

Good keyboard. Against the backdrop of price and advantages, you can close your eyes to the disadvantages. My keyboard has black switches, the tactile feel of the presses is pleasant, and the sound is quiet. The key wobble is minimal, and it's impossible to notice it during work. Volume control, track switching, and stop/play music buttons. At first, I didn't pay attention to them, but after using these buttons while working, I realized that such features are a significant plus for the keyboard. The buttons themselves, as well as the keyboard's base, are made of metal. Additionally, the set includes a magnetic stand, which, like the keyboard, is difficult to shift during work. There is also the possibility to create macros through the software, but I'm not exactly sure if this is a full-fledged advantage. Maybe all keyboards now have this function. The space bar is problematic. It is louder than any other key and already has noticeable wobble, although it is hard to notice during use. After about a month of using the keyboard, the space bar became noisier, and its wobble is now more apparent than before. Backlighting. Despite not being a fan of backlights, it is simply impossible to find an inexpensive mechanical keyboard in my city. Hence, I had to get one with backlighting. My main complaint, however strange it may sound, is that it isn't RGB. Because of this, personally, I don't even wish to leave it at 5% brightness. If it were RGB, I would set it to a fully red/blue/white backlight at 5% brightness for nighttime work on the computer. But with the multicolored backlight that just irritates the eyes, it's impossible to use it at night with backlighting on. ![]() |
i took it because of the price and appearance and didn’t want it soft covering on the stand, comfortable even when the legs are raised, effects and color of the keyboard the wheel button for adjusting sound and color really stands out. dim backlight of the Cyrillic alphabet. ![]() |
The horizontal wobble is very strong! You run your hand over the keys without pressing them, and they sway like grass in a field in the wind. If it weren't for this fact, it would be a really cool keyboard. The space bar can't be touched at all—it wobbles in all directions and activates at the slightest breath. Although, maybe I just got a faulty one. Convenient additional keys The build quality of the case is good The horizontal play was way too large - returned the keyboard to the store. ![]() |
Appearance with a twist
Nightfall is a mechanical keyboard from an American brand that is not the most popular in our area, which promises an eSports level of performance, but on the cheap. The keyboard has a rectangular shape with thin side edges. If it were a smartphone, it could be called frameless. And if it's not joking, then thin frames in combination with an unusual font, individual backlighting of the keys, a rubberized palm rest give the appearance of the keyboard a certain zest. The stand turned out to be quite convenient: the angle of inclination and height are small, while working or rollers with friends, the hands are in a comfortable position and do not get tired.
Individual key illumination
But the backlighting is ambiguous. It is not RGB, each key is highlighted. Moreover, it is highlighted quite brightly, which is why sometimes the backlight hinders more than it helps. Only English letters are highlighted, and Cyrillic characters are simply painted side by side with grey paint. To configure the backlight, you need to configure proprietary software with drivers, and sometimes, after restarting Windows, the backlight forgets to turn on, as if you connected it to the computer for the first time. In the Canyon Gaming app, you can also assign macros to one of the three additional keys in the upper right corner, remap the control of the main keys, and save it all to one of the game profiles.
Affordable keyboard with mechanical switches
As with any sub-$100 mechanical keyboard, it's all about durability. Canyon promises a life cycle of 60 million touches per key, anti-stick protection and “proprietary switches”. But the name of the company is not specified. We did not expect switches from Cherry, it would have turned out to be too expensive, instead of them “black Canyon mechanical switches” are used. It is not clear just what exactly is meant here and when Canyon became a switch manufacturer? It feels like the keys are pressed with a slight effort and quickly return to their original position. The click volume is above average, so if you decide to take one for printing, check it out - for some people, clicking causes pleasant waves of nostalgia, for others, irritation.
