I bought a camera ahead of a trip to Thailand. During the trip, the camera showed itself to be a reliable, convenient and, most importantly, high-quality device. It’s surprising how easy it is to use it in the most difficult and unexpected situations. The menu is so well thought out that it couldn’t be easier! The design of the camera is also, in my opinion, extremely well thought out and reliable. For example, replacing filters by simple and straightforward unscrewing. The video is highly stabilized due to algorithms and also has natural color reproduction. Convenience and simplicity. Extreme thoughtfulness of all operating modes and camera design! I didn't notice any significant ones. ![]() |
I managed to get it for 17k rubles. For 17k, I don't see any flaws, although they do exist. If you need a camera just for trips, it's better to get something like the Panasonic V760. It has great focus, stabilization, and zoom, and performs better in low light conditions. Comparing it to the GoPro 89 is pointless. They have different price points. I don't know why comparisons are even made. It's like comparing a camera that costs 3k with one that costs 13k. The price difference of 10~20k isn’t just for nothing. 2 displays Touch control and simple Interchangeable lenses so to speak Battery lasts an hour or an hour and a half Waterproof Slow-mo, hyperlapse Russian menu Good stabilization Doesn't freeze Turns on quickly. Very. No stabilization in HDR Weak for twilight 145-degree angle when most have 160 and more. The rest are just nitpicking. ![]() |
The camera unfortunately did not meet expectations, it heavily depends on lighting. No matter how hard you try, it is almost impossible to achieve a clear picture in motion, the image "falls apart." Although the stabilization works great, and the picture is smooth, there is no clarity at all. On the camera itself, the recorded material looks nice, but when you open it on a large monitor, you become very disappointed. Voice control does not work accurately, some commands always work, but others have to be repeated 10-15 times, playing with speech speed and tone. There are problems connecting the camera to a smartphone, the camera shuts off spontaneously. Design, stabilization. Disgusting picture quality in less than ideal lighting conditions. ![]() |
With the Osmo Action, drone manufacturer DJI has entered a new arena of action cameras. It is designed to compete on equal terms with the mastodons of the market represented by GoPro and Sony. Did the camcorder get it or not? Let's figure it out.
Full hardware
The device was “stuffed” with a 12 MP image sensor with a sensitivity from 100 to 3200 ISO units, a lens with a field of view angle of 145 ° and two screens at once(one for each side of the case). The dual-display layout makes it much easier to view while shooting. From the rear, the model has a 2.25-inch touch screen, and a 1.4-inch colour display on the front panel.
video filming
Video recording is given to the action camera in resolution up to 4K (3840x2160 pixels) at a frame rate of 60 fps. The bitrate is up to 100 Mbps. There is also a separate HDR mode in the model, but 60 fps and stabilization are not available in it. In general, the RockSteady stub effectively compensates for camera shake and vibration, but slightly cuts off the viewing angle.
Faith in the camera
DJI Osmo Action understands voice commands, supports the installation of filters on the front lens of the lens, withstands diving in the basic form to a depth of 11 m. One of the complaints about the camera is the drop in frame detail in low light. During the day, the model shoots perfectly. Strengthens faith in it decent battery life — more than 1 hour without recharging when shooting stabilized video in 4K, and over 2 hours of video recording in FullHD when the stub is off.
