Sleek, compact and powerful mid-format gaming laptops with high-quality 15.6-inch FHD thin-bezel displays, a stylish exterior design with a durable plastic chassis, full-size white LED-backlit keyboards and a set of high-speed network interfaces. The basis of the hardware configuration of the models of this family was a bunch of high-performance 4/6-core ninth-generation Intel Core i5/i7 processors, which are capable of operating at clock speeds from 2.4 to 4.5 GHz (in Turbo Boost mode), with Nvidia GeForce GTX video cards /RTX based on the Turing microarchitecture. Thanks to this platform, Lenovo Legion Y540 15 laptops show impressively high single- and multi-threaded performance, sufficient to solve any domestic and most serious professional tasks. The amount of DDR4 RAM placed in two slots, depending on the model, can vary from 8 to 32 GB. It is also worth noting the high-quality IPS-matrix displays with a resolution of 1920x1080, good colour reproduction and wide viewing angles. The storage subsystem, built on the basis of high-speed NVMe SSD drives or a pair of SSD + HDD, also deserves a high positive assessment. Due to the high final performance, the laptops of the family are able to guarantee comfortable gameplay in popular games of 2015-2020 at high/maximum graphics settings.
