Today I went to an audio store to pick up a CD player, they had a Denon DCD1600, Marantz this model and Vincent several players, I used to listen to a lot of Denons and they didn’t suit me in terms of sound, Vincent is weak and only likes licenses, so today I almost bought a Marantz and the look is cool, the size is just what I need, at first I listened to a test CD on Denon and simple PolkAudio speakers from an inexpensive series, then another seller came and offered to compare Denon and Marantz head-on, I started with the 2nd, I brought my CD blank, they started listening super, great even the seller noted the clarity of the presentation and the musicality of the player and then they threw it into the Denon and kaput Marantz fell away from the first sounds the beginning of the track and switching tracks the seller got goosebumps, once again they transferred the CD to Marantz just like the 5th track on the fly and the coat doesn’t produce a simple sound micro nuances, the only excuse is that the test was not carried out correctly since the models are of different price categories Denon 28000 at a discount, Marantz 12000 at a discount Design, sizes Smoothes out the sound, no micro dynamics and simplified sound |
I bought it in a set with the HD-AMP1 amplifier and a couple of “shelf” speakers. The sound this kit produces can be equated to listening to music for the first time. In addition to the sound, there is a beautiful desktop CD player made in retro style.
