I wanted to buy a really good camera for a long time, but there was never enough money for such a purchase. Two or three years ago, I desperately wanted a DSLR, but about six months ago, my preferences changed. Mirrorless cameras with low-noise sensors and high-quality electronic viewfinders have become widespread and are slowly replacing classic DSLRs from the market. Olympus, Fuji, Sony and Panasonic have entire lines of mirrorless cameras and I chose this model from Olympus for myself. Compared to DSLRs, it is smaller and lighter. The lens is also small, but if desired, it can be quickly changed. True, this pleasure costs serious money, so in any case it will not happen soon. The matrix in the camera is large 4/3 inches, which means it is sensitive and quiet. In reality, you can not think about noise at all up to a sensitivity of 1600 units. inclusive. Anything more already requires the use of special filters either in the chamber itself or in subsequent processing. The most powerful stabilization, here it is five-axis, matrix, that is, not just vibration is compensated, but also tilt with rotation. The display of this camera is rotatable, it can be tilted up and down, and the electronic viewfinder is made using OLED technology and looks as authentic as possible. It takes a long time to start, making a quick shot is simply unrealistic. More than two and a half seconds pass from the start to the start of filming, which is unacceptably long. Tracking autofocus on the speaker works disgustingly. Do not even think that you will be able to normally shoot a moving car or a running dog, most likely nothing will come of it. Another tricky situation to focus on is low light conditions. The touch display is modern, but how did you not guess to make a multi-touch ??? We are all used to zoom in and out with a characteristic movement of two fingers, and here is such a bummer (( |
The camera with interchangeable lenses, devoid of a mirror in its design, is the youngest of the best, which is positioned in the OM-D series of mirrorless cameras from the Japanese brand Olympus.
Ease of management
The camera is housed in a knocked-down magnesium alloy body with right-handed controls. To change the shooting parameters, the mirrorless equipment provides three disks, many keys, a touch screen, and support for remote control from a smartphone(via a Wi-Fi wireless network). The screen occupies most of the area on the back of the camera and can tilt up and down.
matrix stub
As expected, all the fun is hidden inside the camera body. In particular, this is a 16-megapixel sensor, directly into which a 5-axis matrix image stabilization system is built-in, and 81-point autofocus. Focus is almost lightning fast in any shooting conditions, except perhaps in the dark.
whale set
A bunch of two whale lenses reveals the limits of what is permitted and allows you to shoot a wide variety of subjects, from architecture to long-range bird hunting. The first whale lens with a set of focal lengths of 14-42 mm (28-84 mm in 35 mm equivalent) is universal, and the purpose of the "gun" 40-150 mm (80-300 mm in full frame equivalent) lies in shooting with a large approach.
Optimal balance
Rich decoration along with high image quality make the Olympus OM-D E-M10 II one of the most balanced mirrorless cameras in its segment. She would have a couple more ports for connecting a microphone and headphones, and more opportunities in terms of video shooting — and the camera would not have had a price at all. But even without this, it is in demand among photographers, who also opt for a mirrorless camera thanks to a developed fleet of interchangeable lenses.
