Before this keyboard, we had a Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition with green switches, but the clicking sound really annoyed me and we bought this one because of its yellow silent switches and multimedia keys. And indeed, each key is surprisingly pleasant to press. The wrist pad is not the best, but soft enough and pleasant during my long typing sessions. It connects to the keyboard with a magnet. Overall, I like this keyboard, it is solid and a little heavy, but for me personally, this is an advantage. The backlight is perfect, I spent a lot of time enjoying it. There are many functions and special keys on the keyboard, however I use the volume control, mute and media controls. Of the minuses - the presence of only one USB port, otherwise it would be nice to have at least 2. Each key is surprisingly pleasant to press. The wrist pad is quite soft and pleasant during my long typing sessions. It connects to the keyboard with a magnet. The keyboard is solid. The keyboard has many functions and special keys. Thanks to the ability to listen to e-sports players, Razer engineers managed to create a truly classic line of BlackWidow gaming keyboards, which have not changed much for five years, only acquiring various modifications. However, in the last couple of years, Razer has decided to update the BlackWidow to the standards of the new decade.
Weapons of an eSportsman
As you might guess from the name, the hero of this review BlackWidow Elite belongs to the elite class, designed for demanding cybersportsmen. The formula for success looks the same as its predecessors: classic form factor, flexible macro system, build like a tank (durable metal, braided cable, comfortable palm rest) and high-quality "green" switches of our own production. In terms of characteristics and tactile sensations, they strongly echo the blue switches from Cherry, even surpassing them in some ways. For example, the manufacturer still promises 80 million activations for failure and increased resistance to moisture and dust.
A thousand useful little things
Further, less important advantages can be listed — a volume control wheel, additional ports for USB and a headset, legs with two levels of elevation, on-board memory for four profiles, Chroma backlighting, the ability to record macros on the fly and advanced software. All this is the icing on the cake, which makes the device even more attractive to the buyer. Even cooler, BlackWidow Elite has almost no downsides. Basically, this is a rather high price and cosmetic little things like a cable that is too large, which periodically tries to fall out of the PC USB port or a scroll wheel that is not very neat.
