At the heart of the “baby” is a Sony IMX206 sensor with a resolution of 16 MP, with which you can shoot video in an “honest” 2K format or interpolated 4K resolution. The device supports recording in the following formats: 2160p@24fps, 1440p@30fps, 1080p@60fps and 720p@120fps. The viewing angle of the SJCAM M20 lens is adjustable from 70° to 166°. Despite its miniature dimensions (40x37x48 mm) and weight (55 g including battery), the action camera is armed with a one and a half inch screen. You can also control its parameters “over the air” from the remote control or a smartphone connected via a wireless network. The model has more than enough shooting modes: this is recording at a given interval, and “slow-mo” video, and serial...photography, and underwater mode, and recording by activating the motion sensor, and DVR mode for cars. At the same time, the manufacturer generously equipped the camcorder with a galaxy of useful accessories. On a single charge of a 900 mAh battery, the action camera can work for about an hour in continuous 2K video shooting and about an hour and a half in Full HD video recording mode. |

At first I looked in the direction of GoPro, but then I read the specialized forums and realized that the money they ask for it is not worth it. On the advice of experienced comrades, I decided to start with something simpler and took this Chinese camera. Able to shoot FullHD video at 60 frames per second and simple HD at 120 fps. The quality of shooting in daylight is good, but if you reduce the frame rate to the more familiar 30 fps, it comes out even clearer. The viewing angle can be adjusted over a wide range (from 70 to 170 degrees). Writes sound well (except for mounting in a hermetic box). Good assembly, high-quality plastic, there is a non-slip soft-touch coating. The camera can be controlled by an application on an Andriod smartphone or tablet, and the video from the camera is broadcast to the smartphone in real time. There is a good set of mounts, all kinds of adapters and platforms on adhesive compounds. There is also a mandatory waterproof box. The battery is replaceable, 900 mAh. It lasts for 40-45 minutes of shooting with active WiFi or about an hour with the wireless interface turned off. Not much, but you can't get more from such a tiny camera. First of all, I will write about 4K. There is no honest UltraHD in the camera, there is poor interpolation, which, if done, should be done in a good video editor on a PC. In general, it would be strange if a camera with such a price tag had 4K insistence, but miracles do not happen. Gyroscopic image stabilization, which the manufacturer calls Anti-Shake, is similar to ordinary digital stabilization, and even not very effective. An inconvenient application for Android smartphones, it has a lot of superfluous things and, at the same time, some important settings are inactive. |
