The noise level is acceptable, even at the second speed. I connected it without mounting, but the power is quite noticeable. However, the body is rather "flimsy" - it feels like the metal is very thin. The filter stoppers (even though they are aluminum) can be bent with fingers.
Incandescent lamps with a small base (access through the removed filter, do not try to remove the plastic caps - they are very fragile!) can theoretically be replaced with more economical ones.
