A-Data XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 ASX8200PNP-256GT-C 256 GB price graph

Good price/performance ratio. Alternative to the vaunted Samsung.
    2 May 2019
The speed of work suits. On a working computer, there is memory from Samsung, which is significantly more expensive. I did not feel the difference in reading or writing time. All programs, toys are loaded instantly. Heating in operation is about 35-40°C.
Speed, price. The kit includes a radiator bracket.
    Haven't found it yet.
    good model, I liked it
    7 December 2020
Full volume 477 GB. 2800 for reading and 2400 for writing (which is slightly higher than what they promise). In principle, everything suits, but what do you want, the first ssd, does it make sense to say ooo how fast after the hard drive, where the speed is 20 times less?) Crosshair 6 and 1700 system, Win 10 LTSC, if this is important
If you do not rape with benchmarks, then in principle it is not hot. Simple 38, after running Crystal Disk Mark - 57, in normal operation somewhere in the middle. Throttling starts at about 70 degrees (speeds drop by almost 2 times), but in everyday use it is impossible to warm it up like that. The write speed turned out to be higher than the declared one (2400+ against the promised 2300). Perhaps this is the best m.2 ssd for the money (I took it to AKC for 2180 UAH)
You only have ONE chance to stick the "heatsink" evenly and beautifully (I lost :), the read speed is lower than stated, but maybe I don't know something yet, it seems like there's an old controller here, not all the space is allocated, and I only tested with one benchmark. Don't get me wrong, I'm satisfied with the purchase.

    Dual channel RAM cache

The ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro is one of the fastest 256GB PCI-E 3.0 4x SSDs available. It is based on the popular SM2262EN dual-core controller with support for 512MB dual-channel RAM and 32-bit bandwidth.

    Sequential read speed 3500 Mbps

A powerful controller and fast RAM cache have a positive effect on IOPS, that is, the number of read and write operations per second — 290 and 220K, respectively. The XPG SX8200 Pro uses 3D TLC NAND flash memory, which shows a speed of 3500 MB / s in Crystal Disk Mark sequential read tests. This is a serious indicator, which actually does not differ from the claimed passport data and actually rests on the bandwidth of the PCI-E 3.0 4x bus. For comparison, the reference Samsung Evo 970 has the same 3500 Mbps.

    Limitations of an SLC array

But the write speed here is much lower and is 1200 MB / s. This is 2 times lower than that of Samsung and approximately the same level as other drives operating on the PCI-E 3.0 bus. In addition, due to the use of TLC memory, a high write speed is maintained only until the volume of the virtual SLC array is exceeded, which is 15 percent of the storage capacity. After the array overflows, the speed decreases by about a quarter and the disk needs time to recover. However, this is a problem with most relatively inexpensive SSDs. But bundled with the XPG SX8200 Pro, the manufacturer gives an extended five-year warranty.
