I bought it for PS5 Should have good speed. Installed in PS5, the system indicated that the speed is about 6200. It doesn't match the stated specifications, but more than 5500 is needed, so that’s sufficient. Also, it's not clear how the speed was measured. And this is the cheapest compatible memory for PS5, yet it is one of the fastest. The cooling plate is very small, it’s not clear how it will heat up - I’m afraid that it won’t be possible to check it anywhere in the ps5. The ADATA XPG Gammix S70 Blade is the fastest SSD to date and is likely to remain so until the release of the fifth generation of the PCI-E bus. It develops maximum speed in the case of the 2 TB version, while the one-terabyte reads just as fast, but writes a little slower.

Built on the controller of the young company InnoGrit — IG5236, codenamed Reinier (besides it, the InnoGrit assortment has only one simpler controller — IG5216 with PCI-E 3.0). Despite the inexperience, InnoGrit managed to make the PCI-E 4.0 controller faster than the recognized market veterans Phison and Silicon Motion.

So, the S70 Blade sequential read speed reaches 7400 MB / s, and sequential write — 6400 MB / s. The volume of the virtual SLC cache is 10 percent of the volume of the disk, and after it is full, the write speed drops to about 2000 MB / s. Theoretically, the speed can drop even lower — up to 1000 MB / s — due to overheating of the controller.

But in fact, this will definitely not happen, because the XPG Gammix S70 Blade is equipped with a heatsink made of perhaps the best heat-conducting alloy — graphene.
