сейчас уже неактуален, ибо 99% приложений уже не хотят с ним нормально работать (даже dropbox глючит и не дает войти), с гугл хрома не могу скачать музыку, сафари посылает, а аппстор постоянно пишет, что устройство не поддерживается(даже для гугл диска), музыку на него приходится перекидывать только по проводу на момент выхода был шикарным, миниатюрным, универсальным аппаратом, а главное- прочным (от гантели осталась вмятина, но функционал не пострадал) (срок эксплуатации более 6 лет) -к сожалению, последняя версия прошивки сделала его тормозящим куском кремния и металла, т. к. требовала слишком много оперативной памяти, аппарат задыхался на глазах.

For me, any player is primarily for listening to music, and then everything else. When I was gifted this monster, my first thought was like in that joke "and now let's try to take off with all this stuff." I’m not an expert in mobile devices, I took quite a while to figure out the additional functions and I still don’t use half of them. From my music enthusiast's point of view, the only useful thing might be WiFi - to go online and download something. In general, if you need a super fancy device - then yes, this is your choice, but if you just want a player to listen to music, you should definitely look for something cheaper and, most importantly, simpler. Powerful sound, good volume reserve, rich bass, convenient music library with different sorting options, selection of similar songs, capacious battery, screen that is pleasing to the eyes. The volume buttons are inconvenient, the headphones included are crap, music is downloaded only through iTunes, Bluetooth is only for communication with the headset (you can’t transfer the file over it), the high frequencies are weak, the equalizer only has automatic presets, you can’t configure it manually. Устройство в целом позитивное, но как и полагается любому продукту Apple далеко не однозначное. Многих может оттолкнуть необходимость использования iTunes для заливки музыки и видео... да, видео кстати идёт только конвертированное, причём даже оно не всегда корректно воспроизводится (правда, есть сторонние медиаплееры, они эту проблему решают). Комплектные наушники рекомендую сменить на что-то более приличное. Даже с учётом общей навороченности цена могла бы быть и пониже, мне кажется. Однако повторюсь: устройство в целом позитивное, лично я не жалею, что взял. Главное достоинство всех представителей touch: Универсальность с большой буквы. Недаром эти плееры называют «айфонами без телефонов». Наличие полноценной ОС, возможность выхода в Интернет говорят сами за себя. Качественный экран, чуть хуже чем в четвёртом Айфоне но всё равно весьма и весьма достойный. Наконец-то появилась камера, даже целых две. С музыкальной точки зрения в плюсы можно отнести хорошее качество звучания и удобную библиотеку музыки. Без чехла этого красавца носить смысла нет, зацарапывается буквально за пару дней и теряет товарный вид. Тонкий корпус не идеален в плане эргономики, людям с крупными руками может быть неудобен, то же (нащёт эргономики) касается и управления, разделённых клавиш громкости. Камера - без вспышки.
