The manufacturer is positioned as a premium category model designed for installation in top-end gaming PCs with FullHD and QuadHD resolution monitors. It features a completely redesigned and improved PCB design, which is created using the proprietary Super Alloy Power II concept (hardened component base) and the use of a highly efficient DirectCU III cooling system. The latter includes 5 copper heat pipes in direct contact with the GPU (4 pcs increased to 8 mm in diameter), powerful aluminium fins and three automatically controlled fans with 90 mm impeller. To use the most detailed and realistic textures, there is 8 GB of high-speed GD...DR5X graphics memory, operating at an effective frequency of 10 GHz. Thanks to this design, the Asus GeForce GTX 1080 ROG-STRIX-GTX1080-8G-GAMING graphics card has a decent overclocking potential and shows high gaming performance in popular game projects of 2016-2108 at resolutions up to 2560x1440 and maximum graphics quality settings. The potential of the cooling system allows you to remove up to 300 W of heat at a relatively low noise level.
