One of the most performant versions of the Radeon RX 5700 XT series video cards from the Taiwanese company Asus. Refers to models of the overclocker line Asus Republic of Gamers. The card is based on the AMD Navi 10 graphics processor, created on the basis of the progressive AMD RDNA microarchitecture using a 7 nm process technology. It differs from reference samples by significant factory overclocking (+7% in boost mode) and the use of an improved three-slot cooling system.
It consists of 6 nickel-plated copper heat pipes with advanced aluminium fins and high-tech Axial-tech fans protected from dust ingress according to the IP5X standard. This design easily dissipates the stock 225W of heat and is quite capable of handling reasonable custom overclocking. The Asus Radeon RX 5700 XT ROG STRIX OC graphics card is positioned as a high-end product designed for overclocking enthusiasts and gaming PCs with FullHD and WQHD resolution monitors. The performance of this video adapter is enough to get a consistently high frame rate in any popular games of 2015-2019 at the maximum quality settings for game graphics at a resolution of 1920x1080 and 2560x1440. The card has two independent BIOS profiles, one of which puts the cooling system in semi-passive mode (fans do not rotate at GPU temperatures below 55 °C).
Always clarify the specifications and configuration of the product with the online store manager before purchasing.

I have been using this video card model since September last year. What can I say during the work, first you need to decide in which operating mode you want to see the video card. There is a toggle switch on the video card itself. and off. video card backlight and bios profile toggle switch, choice of quiet or productive operation of the video card (I had quiet mode by default) After switching to productive and adjusting the turntables in the software, it became more fun. Although there are 3 turntables, it heats up, and most of all the memory chips. Which by itself leads to throttling, I tested it with the usual latest version of the furmark and what comes in the asus software recommendations. This I mean that in the quiet mode of operation of the video card, throttling cannot be avoided under normal load. I play full hd at 144 hz with freesink version 1, mostly on ultra graphics settings 100+ fps. Performance at the time of release 5700 XT. Appearance. Toggle switch for turning the backlight off and on. Toggle switch for BIOS modes. Apparently high-quality electronic components. Price. Implementation of memory chip cooling. ![]() |
I’ve been using it for 8 months and am completely satisfied. Performance and appearance Weight ![]() |
I tested the card on five different computers. I have practical experience in diagnosing, repairing, and assembling PCs and workstations since 2001. I highly do not recommend purchasing the Radeon RX 5X00 series (Navi 10) video cards! This line of cards is stillborn, as an improved Navi Refresh is urgently being prepared to replace this mishap. If anyone thinks I'm trying to defame the "great-popular" 5700XT, they are mistaken. Look for messages about the problems of this piece of junk more carefully on the internet, especially on the AMD forum. Don't get caught like I did: bought it, attempted to set it up, thinking the problem was on my end, and ended up missing the deadline to return it to the store. Furthermore, the card manufacturer Asus refuses to fulfill warranty obligations and take the card back. After all, it shows the desktop, launches Word and Excel, and the fact that other applications don't run due to faulty drivers is not an argument for them. The product is originally defective. The time required to ascertain this fact does not allow, in the end, to refuse the product within the seven-day period limited by law (Article 26.1. ZOZPP). Thus, the buyer becomes a victim of misleading advertising or deliberate deception. The drivers are likely to be fixed in about two years, but by then the card will have lost its relevance. I'm even ashamed to post it on Avito, it still lies in its original box in the closet to this day. In short, AMD and AsusTek conned me out of my money. Both companies have lost me as a customer, now I don't trust them. ROG-STRIX-RX5700XT-O8G-GAMING Develops physical endurance by running to service centers, strengthens the nervous system by corresponding and calling warranty and customer services of the store and manufacturer, improves the speed-reading skill of pages of themed forums and bug reports, and significantly increases the skills of using a shaman's drum. This is not a joke! The product does not match the description and is not ready to work "out of the box" due to the lack of proper software. Extremely low performance, visible artifacts, and in some cases, the inability to launch applications. Unacceptably low frame rates (FPS) in most games and specialized tests. The drivers are faulty, released every 2-3 weeks, depending on the version: - they can cause conflicts between the graphics card software and previously installed user programs, resulting in noticeable slowdown of the operating system and/or memory leaks, - they can cause unjustified computer restarts (sudden reboot), and/or the sudden deactivation of the display by the graphics card (the computer remains on, sound works, but the monitor screen is black), leading to forced computer restarts by the user. - installing an updated driver version requires the complete removal of the outdated one and a mandatory cleanup of the operating system by a specially trained program or manually, and sometimes even the reinstallation of the operating system. ![]() |
Premium class
ROG STRIX graphics cards from Asus have maximum sophistication and high price tags, and the RX 5700 XT version is no exception. This is one of the most expensive and top modifications of the new Radeon card, which boasts a branded 3-slot DirectCU III cooler, serious factory overclocking, a redesigned printed circuit board using premium elements and a bunch of interesting chips.
Big and noisy
The Taiwanese have made new Axial-tech coolers specially for the new cards with a smaller bushing and elongated blades that remove excess heat from the case more efficiently. Considering that the RX 5700 XT turned out to be hot, the redesigned coolers do their job well, keeping the core from warming up above 76 °C during manual overclocking. At the same time, the blades spin quite loudly, but for some reason selectively. In some games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the noise is distinct, in others it is barely audible, although the system monitor shows approximately the same load. Anyway, if the noise interferes, the cooler can be switched to the “Quiet” mode. Around the perimeter, the cooler is surrounded by LED elements with support for Aura Sync lighting synchronization. All this stuff turned out to be massive and occupies almost 3 slots, which you should definitely pay attention to when buying.
RTX 2070 SUPER performance
In terms of characteristics, we have a factory overclocked core, which in a boost can rise to 2035 MHz, although in most cases it stays at 1965 MHz. You can squeeze out a little extra FPS with the help of manual overclocking, but you won’t be able to jump much here, the card was squeezed like a lemon at the factory. But it’s not a fact that there is a need for this, because given the dynamic overclocking, the RX 5700 XT ROG STRIX produces around 40 FPS even in the demanding Metro Exodus at Ultra settings and 4K resolution. In general, the Asus version turned out to be somewhere around 13% faster than the reference RX 5700 XT and slightly weaker than the new RTX 2070 SUPER. Although, the price is approximately on the same level with them.
