And this Electrolux, the fifth one I have, has also pleased us. My wife is happy, and even when I occasionally take up the iron to touch up something, I can only say good things. My wife asked me to buy an iron with good steam output, meaning it should steam powerfully not only in the steam burst mode, which all irons can do, but she wanted a strong, consistent, continuous flow. I think this is really useful when ironing thick natural fabrics. So, our new purchase can deliver up to 110 grams of steam per minute in regular mode, and in steam burst mode, the figure increases to 210 g/min! In essence, it steams like a locomotive )) The ceramic soleplate coating protects it from scratches and ensures easy gliding. The temperature adjustments of the soleplate work flawlessly, and the range is enormous. The steam output can also be limited, as 110 g/min isn't needed every day. Additionally, water can just be sprayed onto the fabric using a manual nozzle built into the iron's tip. It's a primitive method, but effective. And I must mention the convenient stand with a non-slip rubber pad. The water tank in it seems to be large, at a whole 300 ml, but it runs out very quickly, and you often have to refill the water. High steam production has its drawbacks, indeed. Along with the strong steam, water might occasionally drip. |
