I purchased this SSD with 250 GB for the Asus Tuf B660 motherboard, for the system. Initially, I wanted to get the A400 for the system and you know, I don't regret getting it, the system boots from pressing the button on the case to entering the PIN code in 7-15 seconds. I don't know what causes the difference in boot time, but after my HDD, which had a loading time of over 60 seconds, it's just phenomenal. Very fast. Just right for the system. Doesn't occupy a SATA slot. Recognized by the motherboard and automatically set all settings in BIOS. Don't know yet. ![]() |
at the cost of a good SSD, the speed does not match the declared speed, the real speed is 1300, the temperature is about 40 degrees on the desktop, and 55 in games, with a radiator it will be much better price speed temperature liquidity is less than stated ![]() |
Norm SSD fast cheap the temperature is just wild over 65 degrees |
One of the most affordable NVMe SSDs on the market
The American brand Kingston had a hard time advancing in the solid state drive market. After several years of virtual struggle with Samsung, the Americans changed course and refocused on the low-cost SSD market and their business improved. One of the most successful models in the company's portfolio is the 2021 Kingston NV1 SNVS/500G drive. The main thing you need to know about it is that it is the most affordable NVMe SSD and overall one of the cheapest SSDs on the market.
Fast and miniature
The drive is made in a compact form factor M.2. Like all representatives of this format, it is distinguished by small dimensions, modest weight (approx: 7 grams) and is ideal for installation in both classic PCs and thin ultrabooks with limited space inside the case. The Kingston NV1 SNVS/250G SSD has four 64-bit 3D QLC flash memory modules with a total capacity of 250 GB. In the role of brains, the Phison PS5013-E13-31 controller, popular in the low-cost segment, is used without a separate DRAM buffer. With support for the NVMe protocol, this SSD provides performance several times faster than a standard SATA SSD and ten times faster than traditional hard drives.
Maximum speed - 2100 MB / s
So the linear write speed of the drive can reach 1100 MB / s, and the linear read speed - 2100 MB / s. In synthetic tests, the drive behaves predictably for its status. In read operations, the CrystalDiskMark utility signaled a speed of 2400 MB / s, which is slightly higher than the declared figures. But when writing large archives, the speed goes down from the passport 1700 MB / s to a modest 250 MB / s. Apparently the lack of a dedicated DRAM buffer is affecting. However, given the price, this can hardly be called a disadvantage, because all entry-level SSDs are not without sin and have similar problems.
