The line of ultrabooks of the MSI brand represents the branded Modern series, which combines 14-inch universal portable PCs. The family contains both low-cost and mid-budget solutions that can primarily interest businessmen, office workers, students, etc. All models are equipped with a 14-inch diagonal IPS screen with Full HD resolution, as well as basic picture parameters (for example, a refresh rate of 60 Hz).

MSI Modern 14 C12M laptops are based on the 12th generation Intel platform (Alder Lake), where, depending on the modification, there can be either 6-core Core i3 engines or more powerful Core i7 engines with 10 cores. Graphics performance is provided by the integrated Iris Xe or UHD Graphics adapter. DDR4 generation RAM (from 8 GB available) is responsible for increasing performance, and an SSD M.2 solid-state drive with a capacity of at least 256 GB is offered for installing programs and storing various content.

The advantages of ultrabooks, in addition to their laconic design, include a fairly low weight (1.4 kg), moderate dimensions (case thickness 19 mm) and a high level of strength and mechanical resistance, confirmed by the MIL-STD-810 standard. Also worthy of special mention is the island keyboard with white backlight, the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless module that promotes a stable Internet connection, and the rechargeable battery with the Power Delivery function (supports powering peripherals and other devices via USB C).
