I used it with 18-105 Nikor and 35-Koy 1.8 Nikor. The difference in optics is heaven and earth. 35 ka is sharper, color rendition is deeper. The camera is clearly progressive. Video 50 and stereo sound, but I use an ME-1 Nikon microphone. Excellent matrix. In the hands of a person who knows his job, an excellent tool for creating creative material. I advise everyone!!! The camera is SUPER!!! Technical characteristics are the most important plus of any new model. The 5200, like the 5100, thrives on color reproduction with fast optics. Having bought 5200, you need to spend money on good optics. I have a 35 1.8 nikor. The only drawback is that it is expensive compared to 5100. ![]() |
First of all, the camera's capabilities far exceed the kit lens significantly. To understand this, you need to buy a proper lens. I purchased a 50mm 1.4 Nikon and felt the difference. The Soviet "Mir" and "Kaleinar" are also good, but they only work in manual mode. The video quality is excellent, you can trim the edges of the clip directly in the camera where there's jitter from pressing the inconvenient video recording button. The sound is stereo, with an adjustable microphone sensitivity; on all autofocus lenses, there are quiet USM motors, including on the kit. By the way, the kit lens is not bad for video. Convenient both for "on-the-go" shooting thanks to a large number of scene modes, and for calm, thorough creative shooting (great potential for diverse exposure work, etc.). Menu with an explanation function in the form of a "?". Compatible with Soviet optics with bayonet n. The video recording button is inconveniently located. The video recording function is not displayed on the multifunction button. ![]() |
I'm kind of an amateur who sometimes takes photos, sometimes in auto mode, sometimes I try to set something up myself, the camera is perfect for me, the next model D7000 and the newer D7100, but that's a whole different price range. As for the pricing policy, the quality and price match one another, in terms of plastic and body everything is assembled reliably and without any defects, but I still recommend buying cases, otherwise, over time everything will get worn out. high sensitivity ISO at 6400 is awesome, they've installed autofocus from a more advanced model with 39 focus points, a practical swivel display, which, to be honest, gets smudged quickly... but it's very convenient if you're shooting at a height or at an angle. The DSLR is easy to handle, you can figure it out a little on your own without any instructions and helpers. There are loads of preset scene modes for photos, suitable for those who want a DSLR but don't know how to shoot and have always clicked on auto))) High shooting speed of 3 fps, perfect for photos you want to take quickly or on the fly. As for convenience, the camera is quite light and carrying it around your neck is no problem at all, unless you buy a couple of heavy lenses. Regarding the video quality, it's not super but more than decent, 25 fps is average... i don't know about others, but I have big hands, and I have the same problem as with mobile phones; the camera is too small and not always convenient to handle. As for the modes, in LV mode, it focuses very slowly and somewhat awkwardly; if you always take photos with the screen on, the battery drains very quickly, plus video recording also severely depletes the battery. There is no commander flash mode. ![]() |
