Mirrorless camera with a full-frame image sensor from the class of advanced semi-professional cameras. The model has a partially stacked CMOS sensor (Partially Stacked) at 24.5 MP, which operates in conjunction with the high-performance EXPEED 7 chip. Compared to the predecessor model Nikon Z6 II, the data readout speed from the matrix has increased by approximately 3.5 times.
Hardware improvements have enabled the implementation of in-camera 6K video recording in N-RAW and 12-bit ProRes RAW. The captured materials are intended to be saved to the memory of XQD and SD cards of the UHS-II class, for which corresponding slots are provided. The Nikon Z6 III body contains an advanced autofocus system with object recognition based on artificial intelligence algorithms, as well as matrix stabilization with claimed efficiency of up to 8 stops of shutter speed or exposure. For framing, a bright high-resolution OLED viewfinder, a 3.1-inch touchscreen on a rotating hinge, or mobile devices connected via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth can be used. The mirrorless camera is housed in a dust- and moisture-proof body weighing around 760 g.

Partially Stacked Image Sensor
The main technical upgrade of the camera is the CMOS sensor with a resolution of 24.5 MP, manufactured using Partially Stacked structure technology. It is complemented by the powerful EXPEED 7 image processing processor. As a result, the data readout speed from the sensor increased by approximately 3.5 times. This resulted in an increase in continuous shooting speed with the electronic shutter up to 20 frames per second and significantly expanded the device's video capabilities.
Video Potential
The camera supports video recording at resolutions up to 6K: at 60 fps in N-RAW format and at 30 fps in ProRes RAW. In 4K, shooting is possible at up to 120 fps (with 1.5x crop) or up to 60 fps without crop. The new processor also significantly improved autofocus performance — the system learned to recognize various vehicles, becoming more precise, faster, and smarter.
Thoughtful Ergonomics
The camera was initially distinguished by thoughtful ergonomics, but in the third generation, it received a number of improvements: the OLED viewfinder now has a resolution of 5.76 million dots, and the screen is mounted on a swivel joint instead of the previous tilt mechanism. The device is equipped with slots for SD and XQD cards, supports wireless communication via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the image stabilization system now compensates for up to 8 stops of shutter speed. Nikon Z6 III is rightly considered one of the best solutions in its class.
