An excellent card! Managed to "snag" it from the first wave of orders at DNS. Bought it for 67k - nearly perfect for its price, a third more powerful than the 2080Ti! In synthetic tests, it even surpasses the "stock" gaming top of the 2000 series by 40-50%!) A great option for 1440P gaming and a good "support" for 4k 60 FPS gaming! It's practically possible to "play" in tests already... Everything is so smooth and the progress is visible! ;D P.S.: Buy only if you have a good acquaintance in the federal chain of stores, or on a reasonable second-hand market. Advice for others - wait! This "madness" will soon subside, graphics cards will flood the market, prices will drop, and you'll be able to buy without this crazy, "artificial" hype!) - High boost, even on driver 456.55 boosts to 2100MHz with slight overclocking and PL up to 107% (342W). - Ability for easy memory frequency boost and increasing memory bandwidth up to 800 GB/s. - Scores 18200 points in Time Spy and comfortably reaches up to 9100 points in the Extreme preset, without heating significantly above 70 degrees. - Quiet cooling system. - Not bulky and not very heavy - but a stand is included in the kit, just in case! ;) - The lack of a normal amount of video cards at launch led to a sales "failure": in the middle of the month, it immediately affected FE versions from Nvidia itself, and by the end of September, non-reference versions as well... New "point" supply is promised no earlier than the end of October-November, and the shortage will last until the end of this year, according to Nvidia and vendors - all due to the "overwhelming" demand, "hoarders" greed, and scarcity of supply... Not the greatest news!( - This stems from the "limited" availability of cards to this day - the greed of "hoarders", the audacity of resellers and "scalpers" selling video cards with at least a 50% markup, knows no bounds - it is currently impossible to buy these video cards at a normal, reasonable price... use Palit GeForce RTX 3080 GamingPro less than month |
I bought it as a replacement for the 2080 Ti Palit GamingPro OC (by the way, the card is awesome, no issues, quiet, and I haven't seen it go above 68°C even in 4K!) I thought there wouldn't be any improvement in FHD, but so far the benchmarks show it's there! The 4K improvement is colossal; in GTA5 in 4K with all ultra settings, it runs at 90-100 FPS and that's with MSAA x8!!!! PS: The review will be updated, I will soon post wattage readings - The card runs cool, haven't seen it go over 68 degrees in GTA 5 in 4K on ultra settings, all default cooling settings - Noisy, after the Palit GamingPro OC 2080Ti this card is noisier! - On the new driver from 09/28/20 the card doesn't boost over 2000MHz, the new driver has reduced the frequencies by about 150MHz, but there were no crashes or black screens at all, I installed the latest driver out of the box!!! - For some reason, on my ASRock Z370 Pro4 MB, after installing the card, when starting the PC, the speaker makes 1 long and 2 short beeps! But everything works as expected... - No SLI support, meaning you want to buy two 3080s for the price of one 3090 - no chance, you sly dog, for the same price as a 3090 you could get 2 3080s and theoretically much more performance than for the price of just one 3090, but NVIDIA blocked this opportunity so everyone would buy the 3090! - I would also consider the 10GB memory capacity a drawback, although there is one point, in GTA5 on a 3080 it consumes 5300MB while the same 2080Ti with the same settings uses 1GB more - 6300MB! |

So, in FStorm rendering tasks, an image in 3K along the long side takes the RTX 3080 on average 6-8 minutes to calculate to a noise level of 1-2%.
If we consider this particular option from Palit in a closed case with good ventilation, I haven't seen it go above 70 degrees at full load during rendering. Regarding the through blow of hot air into the RAM and CPU area, I don't notice any significant heating (CPU cooling is air-based Be Quiet! Dark Rock 4 Pro). I did not notice any significant temperature difference in the VRM either.
In games, the temperature is lower by 3-5 degrees.
Therefore, I did not quite understand the concerns about this cooling system solution for the 3000 series graphics cards. Everything seems perfectly fine.
I also did not hear any noise.
