The flagship graphics card of the 2017 model year from the Palit GameRock Premium Edition series of premium gaming devices. The GeForce GTX 1080 differs from conventional models by significant factory overclocking of the GPU and memory, which significantly increases the already considerable performance of the graphics card. The manufacturer positions it as a product of the highest price category, which is intended for use as part of premium gaming configurations.
When creating the card, an improved printed circuit board with an updated design and high-quality element base (ferrite chokes, durable capacitors, DrMOS elements) was used. An improved proprietary cooling system with a copper heat sink, five copper heat pipes (three of which have an increased diameter) and a two-fan air circulation system are used. A silent passive cooling mode is provided, which is automatically activated when the GPU is idle.
The performance of the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 NEB1080H15P2-1040G graphics card, equipped with 8 GB of GDDR5X graphics memory, is enough to maintain a consistently high frame rate in most AAA titles of 2016-2018 at the highest possible graphics quality settings and resolutions up to 2560x1440 inclusive. To operate the device, you need a high-quality power supply with two additional PCI-E 6-pin and 8-pin connectors. It connects to monitors and VR headsets using 1xDVI-D, 1xHDMI 2.0b and 3xDisplayPort 1.4 connectors.
Always clarify the specifications and configuration of the product with the online store manager before purchasing.

I am a happy owner of this card, bought it at a discount for 1070 and couldn't even dream of 1080. But not everything went smoothly, maybe it's just me, but I couldn't just plug and play. With the new computer, I had to tinker on an early version of Windows 10, there was an issue where the system would randomly freeze, the screen turned black, and would shut down for a second, then everything would return to normal, but it couldn't stay like this. On Windows 7, everything seemed fine, but I only got 20fps everywhere, which was puzzling. No matter how I tried, I couldn't fix it. It turned out the card doesn't automatically turn on the fans on Windows 7, so the frequency didn't reach the claimed levels. On the latest Windows 10, the problem remained until I downloaded the branded utility from Palit and configured power and the Nvidia panel. The newest driver from the "green" Version: 397.93 works incorrectly, after installation, none of the games launched. I remained on the stable 391.24, but how could I have known? I intuitively installed the newest driver as expected. There are still some issues, like Final Fantasy XV on maximum settings delivers 60-70 fps at 1920x1080 144Hz, although it should have that at 4K, not at 1920x1080. In some games, certain settings vastly change performance, limiting the video card. Conclusions now seem fine, games run at 120+ frames, but the experience left a mark; you expect more for that kind of money. GTX 1080, Impressive, beautiful, Cool and productive, Gddr5x. Tuning takes time, it's not always clear how to set up a video card, Automatic control of coolers is not so automatic, drivers crash, there is no way to fully use it immediately after installation (maybe only for me), the video card climbed and closed the sata port. ![]() |
Overall, the card is not bad, but the fans are just trash, I tried 4 different 1080 cards and here is my conclusion: The triple-fan ZOTAC - is the best model, and it's not even the most expensive. All dual-fan models are bad because even in the coldest case, they are still not enough if you consider 78 degrees to be a lot. The price is quiet, no issues with software considering it's simple but unattractive. For example: configuring fans by temperature - easy, Overclocking - easy, but saving the overclock - not possible. That is, you overclocked the card, hit the button... Save... Restarted the PC, and all the overclocking is back to default. I bought this wonder, firstly the chokes whistle, secondly the fans started to rattle after six months, and since I'm a fool and lost the receipt, my warranty claim was declined. The only plus is that the shroud with the fans can be removed separately, meaning the seals remain intact. I removed the shroud completely and manually attached 2*140 fans. Now for the widespread belief, everyone says everywhere that the card doesn't heat up, that's complete nonsense. It goes up to 78 degrees under maximum settings in BF1 or some other unoptimized mess. In reviews, they intentionally don't fully load the card, plus there aren’t many games yet that can fully stress it, but if they do, 78-80 degrees is the standard temperature range. (P.S. there are 3 fans for intake and 3 for exhaust in my computer, so my temperature tests are objective). I won't stoop to the level of fools who say... Palit will burn your house... But when I change this card in about 10 years, I’ll probably not buy a Palit again. i recommend it don't buy |
No Fans started to rattle after a year and a half. The store does not take it, as this does not affect the performance of the video card. And what to do with it, FIG understand now. i recommend it don't buy |
