My wife and I met at a hiking club. In fact, our rapprochement occurred right on the hike across the Crimea, more precisely along the Yalta and AiPetri yayls. Since then, we went hiking together, then we had a break in this activity, but after the birth of our son, four years later we went on another tour again. And later, when our son turned seven, we took him on a relatively simple hiking trip in the Carpathians for the first time. It was spring, we conduct all our walking tours only in consistently warm weather, without frost. But a good sleeping bag is very important in spring-autumn conditions, since at this time the temperature at night often drops to +3...+8 degrees. Therefore, the tent was chosen carefully and, as experience has shown, it was chosen correctly. This is a special children's sleeping bag for heights up to 150 cm. My son is now almost 130 cm, so it still fits normally and there is still a reserve for the near future. The sleeping bag is really warm and suitable for temperatures down to zero. It shows such good thermal insulation due to a thick layer of modern polymer fibrous material called “holofiber”. This is a brand name of an advanced type of spiral polyester fiber, which is also treated with silicone. This insulation breathes, but does not absorb moisture. High-quality zipper with fabric protection and glow-in-the-dark loop. The sleeping bag weighs less than a kilogram, we specially weighed it on home scales in a compression bag and it turned out to be something like 970 grams. Whatever one may say, for a seven-year-old boy even such a small weight and relatively compact size is a decent load. Even on the first trip we made a tiny 3mm hole. Nylon with moisture-resistant impregnation is a wonderful material, but it is afraid of even the smallest spark. |
