With its help, I transferred the operating system from the old hard drive. It became error-free, which is already pleasing. BIOS recognized the drive the first time. Using the software, you can also find out the temperature of the drive. Mine shows 35-39, which is not bad, although I have seen smaller ones. If you're lucky, it will work fine, if not, you'll need to take it to a service center. The price is a bit high, but I didn’t buy the disc, so I’ll just mention it as a given. |
I had a problem with the speed, because it only gave out about 50 Mb / s. After digging around on the Internet, I found advice that you can cut off the orange power wire. I don’t recommend acting so drastically, it’s better to buy an adapter from 4 to 15 pin, for example, from Maxxtro. Having connected the part, the speed became a little more than 500 Mb / s. Let me give you a few more tips. After installation, you will need to enable Smart mode in the BIOS. If you decide to install the operating system, it is better to do it in AHCI mode. Be sure to enable the TRIM function. I turned off defragmentation, you can leave it, because it is not essential. By following a few simple steps, you will enjoy high-quality and fast disk operation for a long time. I bought a drive to speed up the system, as Windows 10 isn't running very smoothly on my "hardware." After installing the drive, I was able to boot up in 15 seconds. If you have a modern, high-performance laptop, the results will be even better. The laptop comes out of sleep mode in just a couple of seconds. I work in Photoshop, and the computer has become significantly faster. The program launches and loads photos about 50% faster. I would like to point out the drive's thinness. It's a millimeter thinner than similar models from other companies. Small amount of memory. Although if you use it only for the system, and store the files on the HDD, then the problem will disappear by itself.
