The disc is often found to be defective, so negative reviews are not uncommon. I didn’t buy the SSD, but won it in a contact competition. I decided to install it on my laptop, because it would be a sin not to take advantage of the gift. Surprisingly, my copy works without failures, although I was also afraid. The disk is well suited as a working option for home use. I’ll note right away that the disc’s packaging is pleasing. The box contained a frame for mounting in a 3.5 mm compartment, along with bolts. Fasteners for the drive itself are also present. If you connect to Sata III, the speed is good. It showed me 540 kopecks for reading and 450 for writing. I will not give the entire test table. For 512 GB, very good performance. The system works quickly, as do the programs. Files are also copied very quickly, in general, everything is as it should be. The available volume will be enough even for use as a single drive. If you put it in conjunction with a HDD for files, then there is more than enough space. The bundled utility is quite good. With its help, I transferred the operating system from the old hard drive. It became error-free, which is already pleasing. BIOS recognized the drive the first time. Using the software, you can also find out the temperature of the drive. Mine shows 35-39, which is not bad, although I have seen smaller ones. If you're lucky, it will work fine, if not, you'll need to take it to a service center. The price is a bit high, but I didn’t buy the disc, so I’ll just mention it as a given. |
I had a problem with the speed, because it only gave out about 50 Mb / s. After digging around on the Internet, I found advice that you can cut off the orange power wire. I don’t recommend acting so drastically, it’s better to buy an adapter from 4 to 15 pin, for example, from Maxxtro. Having connected the part, the speed became a little more than 500 Mb / s. Let me give you a few more tips. After installation, you will need to enable Smart mode in the BIOS. If you decide to install the operating system, it is better to do it in AHCI mode. Be sure to enable the TRIM function. I turned off defragmentation, you can leave it, because it is not essential. By following a few simple steps, you will enjoy high-quality and fast disk operation for a long time. I bought a drive to speed up the system, otherwise Windows 10 on my hardware does not work very quickly. Having installed the drive, I got the opportunity to turn on in 15 seconds. If you have a modern productive laptop, the performance will be even higher. The laptop comes out of sleep mode for a couple of seconds. I work in Photoshop, and the computer began to function much faster. The programme starts and loads pictures 50 percent faster. Separately, I note the small thickness of the drive. It is a millimeter thinner than similar models from other companies. Small amount of memory. Although if you use it only for the system, and store the files on the HDD, then the problem will disappear by itself.
