Inclined hood with sufficient performance and impressive appearance
    29 September 2016
My wife and I chose the hood for the new black and silver kitchen. She still wanted something unusual, but I gravitated more toward traditional, time-tested designs. We decided on this beautiful slanted model for wall mounting and chose black as the color.
In general, I don’t really like any kind of hoods, because of the noise they make. With our old two-fan one, it was a loud and annoying hum. But this hood makes much less noise and draws air at maximum power noticeably better. All this is due to the fact that it uses not a classic blade fan, but a turbine. This method allows you to increase the pressure difference and enhance air suction while reducing the noise level. It creates excellent traction. Looking at it in the photographs, I sinfully doubted that such a design would be effective, but the very first tests dispelled all doubts. It pulls confidently even at the first, slowest speed. There are three speeds in total and they are switched using a block of buttons with silver pushers. There is good lighting. An Italian electric motor is installed in it to rotate the turbine, but the hood itself is entirely assembled in China.
The buttons are located a little high. My wife is short and she has to stand on her toes to reach. In drawings and photographs, the glass looks as black as the metal body. In fact, it is slightly lighter; more precisely, it has a slight dark gray tint. I won’t say that this is very noticeable, but upon closer examination there is still a difference.
