I chose a boiler to replace an old and inefficient Soviet gas stove in a private house. Gas is now an expensive pleasure, they did heating on solid fuel and additionally installed a heat accumulator. Coal, of course, also bites in money, but firewood can be harvested without any problems, since the terrain allows it. The boiler is simple and convenient. All adjustments are mechanical, the boiler does not depend on electricity. The combustion chamber has a large loading door. You can put really big logs in there. The benefit is double: it is easier to harvest firewood and large pieces burn out more slowly. Large, solid cast iron heat exchanger. In addition, cast iron seems to be not ours, but Czech. I don’t know exactly what the difference is, but the European material will probably be of better quality. The boiler has no special requirements for the chimney. In my case, I just connected it to an existing chimney from an old gas stove and everything works fine. Fuel can burn different things. Suitable for any coal, wood and various wooden waste. The tree, by the way, does not have to be completely dry - wet logs also burn through normally, except that the heat is a little less. The tree burns out pretty quickly, in three to four hours. In winter, without a heat accumulator, it would be necessary to heat 3-4 times a day. use Viadrus Hercules U22 D6 month or more |
I do not recommend buying these boilers. And in general, any others. I have a factory marriage. The boiler is assembled very poorly, the factory saves on welding. As a result, the boiler is leaking, the smoke pipe connection is located, why in the rear section, which is a water chamber. The plant refuses marriage, due to the lack of a service organization during commissioning, although the Seller did not warn about this condition when buying this boiler. It turns out that when installing a boiler in a village, I also have to look for, pay for a service organization? It is expensive, but as a result, what should be used for decades costs a bunch of leaky cast iron no Expensive. Manufacturing defects use Viadrus Hercules U22 D4 more than year |
A powerful autonomous boiler with a large combustion chamber and a solid efficiency that runs on wood. For stand-alone use far from civilization, it fits perfectly. Simple as a bedside table, but thanks to this there are no problems with work. The main thing is that there is a source for firewood or coal nearby. No power supply is needed, the boiler operates completely autonomously. Just what the “doctor” ordered for a country house in a village where there are sometimes power issues regardless of the weather or season. It mainly runs on wood, although you can also use coke or coal. The stove is large, allowing you to load a lot of wood at once or use large pieces without bothering too much about cutting them. Moreover, you don't have to add wood very often - the firebox holds a whole 47 liters. The boiler itself is made of cast iron and weighs nearly 300 kg - such a massive thing cannot help but inspire confidence. You don’t even need to fuss with any protection systems - nothing scares it as it is. Plus, cast iron is durable. Can only be used for heating. Despite all its advantages, the boiler is quite bulky. |
