Intake valves for toilets
Intake valves
— intake valves — mechanisms responsible for filling the flush tank with water. The main task of such a mechanism is to block the flow of water entering the tank in time and prevent a “flood”. It consists of the valve itself, which shuts off the water, and a control system with a sensor that monitors the filling of the tank. The sensor most often works on the principle of a float: descending when the water is drained, it opens the valve, and rising along with the water to the desired level, it closes it.The main aspect that you need to pay attention to when choosing an intake valve is the water supply to the flush tank, for which such a mechanism is designed. This supply can be top (usually from the side, extremely rarely from behind) or bottom (most often from the side). The second option is considered more convenient, since the water coming from below makes practically no noise, in contrast to the jet falling into the tank from above. On the other hand, not everywhere there is a technical possibility to provide a bottom water supply; so the side valves nowadays also do not lose their relevance.
