With wax

— this category includes shampoos containing a polishing additive, usually a special "car" wax or silicone. When applied, this additive forms a special film on the car body, which plays both a decorative and protective role. The decorative function is that the polish masks small scratches, visually leveling the surface, making it clean and shiny. And protection consists, firstly, in repelling dust and dirt, and secondly, in the fact that the film covers scratches and microcracks, protecting them from corrosion and preventing them from growing. Thus, the wax is able, to some extent, to perform also the function of an anti-corrosion agent; however, in case of serious damage to the paintwork, it is still recommended to use a special anticorrosive agent (see the relevant paragraph).
