The main advantage of this model is its fast and high-quality black and color printing. While it might not be a champion in terms of speed for printing regular black text, it excels in color printing. I had considered getting an inkjet MFP with CISS, but now I see that for printing colored prints, the laser model is simply unbeatable. It prints on paper of any density from 50 g/m² to semi-cardboard (200 g/m²). It connects to a computer via USB but can also work as a network printer with an Ethernet connection or even through Wi-Fi. However, setting up the network operation wasn't straightforward at first, so I'll need to call someone knowledgeable. I was particularly impressed with this device's performance in color copier mode. I've never received such high-quality color duplicates in just half a minute. It produces black-and-white copies almost instantly. The paper tray has a small capacity. According to the specifications, it's 150 sheets, but it's better to load slightly less, around 120-130 sheets. The standard black cartridge capacity is insufficient. Really, 1400 sheets for such a serious device is not much at all. Fortunately, this model has a high-capacity cartridge option, which holds 2800 pages. It wasn't cheap, I had to pay about 65 EUR. But with it, at least there's no need to take the cartridge for a refill every week. Also, when printing from a cold state, the printer takes quite a while to output the first page. A regular monochrome laser printer does it twice as fast. |
