Inexpensive model, mainly remarkable for the ability to print photos and a very useful function for domestic use of duplex printing, which in fact allows you to speed up printing of large volumes of information. And this can be very useful, since the speed of the Canon PIXMA E404 is rather modest — 8 ppm when printing in b/w mode and 4 ppm in colour. Cartridge yields are also relatively small: 300 pages for colour and 400 for black and white. No questions about the operation, the expected quality of printing, copying, scanning, immediately set up CISS. A SIGNIFICANT DRAWBACK that negates all the positives and advantages of the Canon PIXMA E400 is the technical inability to print at the bottom of any sheet format (A4, 10x15, etc.). The margin is a WHOPPING 15 mm!!!! I really regret buying such a device, A WASTE OF MONEY. IMPOSSIBILITY to actually print photos, copies of A4 format images, printing tables, and texts that are already created to fill the entire sheet (I mean the usual margin of 5-7 mm). use Canon PIXMA E404 week i recommend it don't buy |
"Haste makes waste" happened to me. I bought without reading the reviews beforehand. There is a big drawback in printing any documents - a BORDER that cannot be removed. I tried printing text, and the bottom border cut off almost 2 lines of text (17 mm). When printing a photo on a 10x15 sheet, that very border cannot be removed in any settings! the printing is good, with original cartridges... I don’t even know anymore A very big minus is the FRAME on any document. Whether you print on regular paper or photo paper, FRAME will be everywhere!!! use Canon PIXMA E404 week i recommend it don't buy |
The printer is basically disposable, do not buy it!! My nephew approached me last week, "help, the printer is not working!". The story is as follows: - they got it on credit at Comfy, December 2014 - they talked them into installing a CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System) without warning that after installation the printer warranty is void! - the CISS installation took longer than promised, about 4 days, had to visit twice, they explained they were having some issues - they installed it poorly, either shortened the cables to the cartridges or it was not even for this printer model, as it turned out later - it worked for a month and died, everything inside is flooded with ink! - took it to familiar technicians whom I have been working with for 10 years, luckily they cleaned it up and started it, but they said it's not going to last long (it's basically disposable), how long it will work is unknown, but the cartridges need to be replaced and the entire CISS too, because it was installed poorly and most likely not for this printer. In my professional career, I've used more than a dozen models of different inkjet printers from various manufacturers. Haven't encountered anything worse yet. NO Expensive consumables. Original cartridges costing half the price of a new printer. Bought two sets of original cartridges - the same as buying a new printer. The diaper is disposable, once filled, the printer goes to waste. use Canon PIXMA E404 month or more i recommend it don't buy |
