Not a bad hard drive both in price and writing speed. I needed a second SSD for Photoshop and other photo processing programs. I took the 120 GB model, since it was almost the same in price as the 64 GB. I tested the speed and got about 410 MB/s reading and 380 MB/s writing. Not bad for a hard one for 25 bucks. I didn’t like that there was no additional grille for the system unit (3.5mm). Instead, there was a small sticker that should stick it to something.. Overall, for a penny I got a fast SSD with a 5-year warranty (the store gave exactly that much, even though the box says 3 years). Photoshop flies, so does Lightroom.
Fast for your money. 5 year warranty. The price is low.
Contents: SSD and sticker - no bolts, no 3.5-inch attachment..... nothing.

Update for simplicity

Last year, the most popular SSD controller on the market was the Phison PS3110-S10. This year it was replaced by the updated PS3111-S11. It would seem that disks based on it should have become faster. But firstly, there is simply nowhere to increase the speed of linear reading, since it has long been limited by the bandwidth of the SATA III bus. And secondly, the main trend in the SSD market is a total reduction in price. As a result, Goodram CX300, one of the first drives with the S11 controller, turned out to be even simpler than the previous CX200 model.

Pop star

The CX300 is built on Toshiba TLC 15nm planar flash memory. Its combination with the S11 controller is also used in other popular SSDs, such as Kingston A400 and Patriot Spark. By the way, the claimed memory capacity of 240 GB for the CX300 and A400 instead of 256 GB for the Spark is not at all a disadvantage. It's just that Goodram and Kingston indicated the volume of disks without taking into account the reserve 16 GB inaccessible to the user, and Patriot - taking into account. The actual capacity of all three disks is the same.

Nice little thing

Unlike SMI-Hynix SSDs, Goodram CX300 and similar drives have buffered RAM. However it is only 32 MB and it is built right into the Phison S11 controller. In comparison, the SSD on the S10 controller had between 128MB and 512MB of ultra-fast buffer. The CX300 also has a virtual SLC cache, and at the end of it, the write speed also drops significantly - from 460 to 80 MB / s. However, Toshiba's TLC memory is still one and a half times faster than SK Hynix. That's why we recommend the Goodram CX300 for building an entry-level gaming PC.
