Bought for PS 5 - everything is excellent, picture, sound is awesome, my first 4K TV! Playing at night with Ambilight is a pleasure. Ambilight, subwoofer Didn't notice use Philips 55PUS9206 more than year |
Bought in November - everything is fine! I was choosing between the Lyzhi C1 and Filey, since I already had Filey. It’s important for me to play in the evening with Ambilight, and movies look great in the evening, but mainly I got it for gaming on PS 5. I opted out of OLED from Lyzhi due to the risk of burn-in. Very powerful soundbar, when I play the floor shakes, I have to lower the volume so the neighbors don't come over! From the drawbacks, it's a VA panel, so you can only play or watch from one angle, but I bought it for myself and I'm quite satisfied! If you watch with three or four people, those viewing from the side will see a wash-out effect. But for personal use, it's really cool with bright colors in 4K! ![]() |
Good but very fragile TV picture quality, smart tv, very fast The TV is very fragile due to its very thin frame. Any distortion or careless lifting and the screen is done for. Don't buy it, other models like 65PUS8303 and 43PUS6501 are much sturdier, survived several moves, and still work. But this "new model" is like a piece of thin glass and you have to be very careful with it. There's a 50% chance you might not even transport it unscathed, even in the packaging. I do not recommend it!!!! ![]() |
The hallmark of Philips TVs is the patented Ambilight backlight system. Model 55PUS9206 has it stretched along all four sides of the hull. LEDs around the perimeter of the rear panel create an additional immersive effect by changing the colour of the backlight according to what is happening in the frame.
VA panel
The display of the model with a diagonal size of 55" was created on the basis of a 4K resolution VA-panel (3840x2160 pixels). The Philips 55PUS9206 supports displaying HDR content in HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision versions. The Philips P5 Perfect Picture Processor is responsible for image processing in the TV, which provides sharp contours, bright colours and good picture contrast, and also does a good job of upscaling to 4K video broadcasts from lower resolutions.
Full immersion in gameplay
For gamers, the model provides support for VRR technology, aimed at improving the smoothness of the gameplay. Low latency game mode automatically starts when you connect the console to the TV through the first and second HDMI version 2.1 ports. It is from them that you can squeeze out 4K resolution with a frame rate of 120 fps. The aforementioned Ambilight also contributes to complete immersion in games.
Strong medium segment
The audio subsystem at the TV panel consists of two downward-facing drivers of 10 W each and a 30 W subwoofer unit on the rear panel. Support for Dolby Atmos and eARC is in its rightful place. Special praise goes to the progressive Android TV 10 smart system with a friendly user interface and voice control. Claims to the model are presented only in terms of the deterioration of detail in the darkest and brightest areas of the HDR image. Well, the depth of black on the screen is slightly reduced when watching TV broadcasts at non-standard angles. All this is fixed in the more status OLED panel Philips 55OLED806.
