Really pleased with the price. Even to be honest, I didn’t expect a telescope for that kind of money to get. We have a kitchen of 7 meters. I think this is the ideal area for such a hood. When choosing a hood, like any household appliance, you always want to buy a good thing with a decent set of functions for relatively little money. But here it is important to stop in time and not slide down to penny savings by buying frankly super-low-cost and short-lived trash. Therefore, if I don’t have money for a really cool thing, I prefer to go down to the average or even low-cost price range, but take a model from a well-known and trusted manufacturer. Among the manufacturers of household appliances for the kitchen, such a brand is the Pyramida brand. This is a typical telescopic range hood, which in marketing terms can be classified as a "product from the lower part of the mid-price range". It is assembled decently, though not perfectly. It performs its duties – extracting moisture and hot air from the kitchen – excellently. There are only two fan speeds. We mostly use the first one, and it's sufficient, but sometimes we have to turn on the second, and it makes a rather unpleasant noise. The design also includes lighting for the cooking surface or stove. It operates on two small incandescent lamps with a power of 40 watts each. Upset two serious shortcomings. The first of them is the noise when working at the second speed. If on the first one she is even more or less tolerant, then on the second she yells so that it is simply impossible to talk calmly next to her. The second drawback is related to the fact that it is made of very thin metal. I mounted it myself and twice I was convinced of this, slightly deforming the metal with my hands. Yes, the mounting procedure is also non-trivial, there are no side mounts, you can only mount it on the upper part of the case. |
