The Cordiant brand is owned by the Russian company OJSC Kordiant. It specializes in the production of various models of car tires supplied both to the domestic market (according to some reports, they are the leaders in sales in the Russian market) and abroad - it is stated that these products can be found in the markets of 50 countries around the world.
To be precise, the history of the production of these tires began back in 1932, when the Yaroslavl Tire Plant, which was then the largest in the Soviet Union, was launched. It is also necessary to mention the Omsk Tire Plant, founded in 1940. Both of these enterprises (together with a number of other companies) subsequently became part of the Sibur holding, thanks to which the Cordiant brand subsequently arose.
The Cordiant trademark itself appeared in 2005. It was created by SIBUR - Russian Tires LLC, founded in 2002 to sell products from tire manufacturers that are part of the Sibur holding. The modern name of Cordiant OJSC appeared later, in 2012, after a number of internal changes in the company's structure. Such as the refusal of the Sibur holding to control its subsidiary.
In addition to the main trademark, Cordiant OJSC owns the Tyrex brand, which produces tires for commercial vehicles, as well as buses. Also for commercial vehicles are tires manufactured under the Cordiant Professional brand.
