Key fob, in fact, plays the role of a contactless key. At the same time, such keys give access to the protected area without triggering an alarm, but do not allow you to control the alarm settings. This allows you to “share responsibility”: for example, in an office, RFID tags can be distributed to ordinary employees, and control key fobs can only be issued to security guards or persons responsible for signaling.

Note that modern alarms with support for RFID tags are usually capable of not only triggering on a key fob stored in memory, but also fixing whose key fob the system was turned off.

The very possibility of a call, of course, is found only in models with support for remote control — via GSM or Wi-Fi (see "Control"). Systems with this function, when triggered, send a voice call to specified users via the mobile network to a phone or via the Internet to an application on a smartphone / tablet. Having accepted the call, the user receives voice information about the details of the alarm, and also, in most cases, gets access to additional functions: control via the voice menu, intercom, listening (see "Control panel capabilities"), etc. Many modern alarm systems allow set not one recipient of such calls, but a whole list: if there is no connection with one user, the system will try to call the second, if he does not answer, the third, etc. This will be useful in cases where several people are responsible for signaling.

Key fobs are compact remote controls that allow you to control alarm functions from a distance. Such control is usually limited to only basic capabilities — arming, disarming, SOS signal, etc.; however, the very possibility of remote control is very convenient. Several key fobs allow you to give access to the alarm to several users at once. However, the number of such "remotes" in a set usually does not exceed 2/ — so that the user does not have to overpay for unnecessary equipment; at the same time, additional key fobs, usually, can be purchased separately if necessary. For the same reasons, some models are not equipped with key fobs at all, although they may allow such control.

Model of the opening sensor(s) supplied with the alarm.

The operating characteristics of the opening sensor — primarily the threshold (see below) — are usually given in the general specifications of the kit. However, some may need more detailed information — to find it, the name of the model will come in handy. In addition, it is useful to know this name if there are not enough complete sensors and they are supposed to be purchased additionally: instead of searching and selecting compatible components, it is enough to purchase sensors of the same type.

The presence of immunity to animals in the complete sensors of the set.

This feature means that the sensors will not respond to small moving objects (up to 25 kg on average, although there are other options for limiting). This is especially useful for those who have pets at home, as well as for pet shops, petting zoos, etc.: small animals such as a cat or a parrot will not be perceived by the alarm and will not trigger an alarm.
