The choice of plastic texture for 3D printing depends on the requirements of the project, the desired appearance of the product and its functional characteristics. In general, the texture of plastic is a combination of the appearance of the filament and its tactile sensations. The following types of textures are widespread:

Matte. The surface of matte plastic does not shine and has a subdued appearance. Such filaments are optimal for printing prototypes with a minimum amount of glare and reflections.

Silk. This texture visually resembles shiny silk, and it is used to print decorative items and art projects.

Metal. Plastics of this type imitate metal surfaces; often they actually contain metal. Similar filaments are used for 3D printing of objects that should look like metal.

Stone. Such plastics contain additives that imitate the appearance of stone surfaces. They are characterized by a rough tactile sensation, and these filaments are used to print architectural prototypes and various decorative products.

Regular. Ordinary plastics without any texture additives. Universal and suitable for the vast majority of 3D printing tasks.
The total length of filament in the package, expressed in meters. Note that this refers to the overall length of the 3D plastic — if a given set includes 10 spools of filament in different colours, each 20 meters long, the total length indicated for this set would be 200 meters.
