The Chinese brand Deepcool, piece by piece, gradually won its share of the computer components market from competitors, producing mainly inexpensive cases, power supplies and cooling systems. However, in recent years the brand has blossomed and rightfully managed to impose competition on Cooler Master, Noctua, Be Quiet, Thermaltake and other prominent players in the cooling market. One of the most interesting products in the brand's assets are premium tower coolers with the meaningful name Deepcool Assassin.

Unlike Deepcool's other CPU cooling lines, the manufacturer has focused on cooling efficiency, utility features, and acoustic performance in this series. A typical representative of this series is a massive design with a two-section radiator, a pair of fans of different diameters with an asymmetric impeller and an array of heat pipes.

Such a monster is capable of cooling a processor with a heat dissipation of around 280 W with a maximum noise level of around 29-30 dB, being a direct alternative to advanced liquid cooling systems with three active fans. Thanks to this, any Assassin will be equally useful both as part of a powerful gaming machine with overclocked components, and inside a workstation for working with media content.

Considering the premium nature of the series, new models are not released very often. In 2019, Assassin III was released with two active fans, a U-shaped cluster of seven heat-conducting tubes and a maximum TDP of 280 W. In 2023, Deepcool released the 4th version, which is significantly different from its predecessors. In particular, the entire body of the “four” is hidden in a stylish perforated cube, the turntables have different diameters so that the user can adjust the tower to the height of the RAM modules, and a button appears on the body to switch operating modes (note: quiet-powerful). Otherwise, this is the usual Assassin with the same TDP around 280 W and modern processor mounts.
