Semi-gloss
— a kind of transitional option between matte and glossy paper (see the relevant paragraphs). "Semi-gloss" allows you to get a fairly bright image with good colour reproduction. At the same time, it does not glare as much as the classic “gloss”, moreover, it is more resistant to damage and dirt (including Polish prints), and it costs much less. All this makes semi-gloss paper quite a convenient medium for home and semi-professional photo printing. At the same time, the number of shades and the quality of colour transitions on such a surface are lower than on a glossy surface.
