Wheel grousers for two-wheel tractor
Grouser
— devices designed to increase the grip of the wheels of the two-wheel tractor with the ground (hence the name). They have the form of metal rims with sharp plates protruding in the radial direction; such rims can be worn on the "native" wheel, on a disk instead of a standard tyre, or replace the entire wheel. When moving, the plates cut into the ground, improving traction and allowing the wheels to “rest” firmly on the ground.Grousers are mainly used when using various attachments such as plows, hillers, etc., when the unit must overcome additional resistance and pull excess weight. They can be useful on any terrain, but are especially useful on soft, wet ground like fresh arable land, where conventional wheels cannot provide enough traction.
