Shower hoses
Shower
— hoses for connecting a hand shower (for a conventional or hygienic shower) to the tap. The traditional, most familiar design of such a hose is an elastic tube in a corrugated metal braid. Such products are inexpensive and at the same time quite practical, they resist bending well and, with careful use, can last for years. The disadvantages of such hoses include the tendency of the braid to crack and unwind over time — and this leads to the fact that the metal edges protruding inward damage the tube, rendering it unusable. However, although a worn braid cannot be repaired. due to the low cost, this drawback is not critical — the hose can be replaced without any problems.A more perfect option is hoses with a silicone braid (more precisely, with a combined one — a layer of silicone is applied on the outside to a metal braid). Such products are very durable, reliable, they do not crack and do not lend themselves to bending and twists, and the silicone shell additionally protects the metal from wear and damage. Of the noticeable shortcomings, only the rather high cost of such hoses can be noted.
Shower hoses made of plastic are described in detail in the “Material — plastic” paragraph, here we note that they are cheaper than silicone ones, but they are noticeably inferior to them in a number of performance characteristics.
