— paddleboards designed for long trips on calm water. These range from touring-style models designed to swim far and fast enough, to racing models designed primarily with an emphasis on speed, but also suitable for marathon swims. Common features of all such models are a small width and a rather significant length: due to this arrangement, water resistance is reduced and good directional stability is ensured. However, the manoeuvrability of boards for this purpose is usually low.
