![]() Low price, dual SIM support, good colour IPS display, metal back , lightweight. The screen fades in the sun, not the best build quality of the case, modest photo quality. | BB-mobile Techno 7.0 3G TM758AB 8 GB The bb-mobile brand belongs to the Russian distribution company Business Bureau, which offers customers tablets and other devices. Its specialists call Techno 7.0 3G TM758AB "a low-cost tablet with not low-cost features". This model is the lightest in our review: it weighs only 263 g. strong> Its design is typical of entry-level tablets, with the added bonus of a metal plate on the back. In the test of this device on IXBT, we noted not the highest strength of the case and not the best build quality, typical for low-cost devices. TM758AB is one of the most affordable tablets among 3G models. Against the background of its counterparts from the lower price range the model stands out for its two slots for SIM-cards (Mini-SIM format). At the same time, the device has one radio module, that is, while using one SIM card, the second one will be inaccessible. Support for 3G telephony will provide voice communication and more or less fast Internet access outside the Wi-Fi zone. However in the same test it was noted that when making calls, the voice of the interlocutor is sometimes distorted. There are no complaints about this on other models on the Web. The tablet is equipped with an IPS-type screen with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. IPS displays compare favorably with TN-matrix screens, which are usually installed in low-cost devices, with better colour reproduction and wider viewing angles. Among the advantages of the screen of this model, experts note ixbt.com noted the absence of flicker and good colour balance, and among the shortcomings — low maximum brightness and weak anti-glare properties (it will be difficult to read from the screen on a sunny day outside). The tablet processor together 1GB of RAM won't be able to handle new games, but less demanding apps won't be a problem for it. Like the rest of the tablets in our review, bb-mobile Techno 7.0 3G is equipped with two cameras: the main one on the back and the front one for video calls. The resolution of the main camera is 2 megapixels, the quality of the photos taken is estimated by users as very limited. But the tablet can shoot videos with Full HD resolution, which is unusual for low-cost models. |
![]() Low price, dual SIM support. Not enough built-in and RAM, not the best display. | The Russian company Explay produces a large range of tablets with screen sizes from seven to ten inches. The key feature of the Leader model is the built-in 3G module. Thanks to the support of two SIM cards, the tablet allows you to use different tariff plans for calls and Internet access. The display characteristics of Explay Leader are the same as those of the bb- models presented in the review mobile and Asus: resolution 1024x600, density 170 pixels per inch (ppi). However, the screen matrix of the "Leader" is made using more budgetary TN technology, which is inferior to IPS in terms of colour reproduction quality and viewing angles. The tablet has the smallest amount of memory among the compared models — both built-in and operational. 4 GB of internal memory can be expanded using a microSD card. But 512 MB of RAM impose certain restrictions. To avoid slowing down the device, you should monitor the state of the RAM and regularly clean it from unused applications. According to user reviews, the tablet handles with simple games and applications without problems, the build quality of the case good, and the battery lasts for a day. Like all tablets in our Top 5, Explay Leader is equipped with a GPS module. Therefore, the device can be used as a navigator. How convenient it will be for motorists is an open question. |
![]() High resolution display with good brightness and contrast, metal back, large internal memory, 5 MP camera. Not suitable for "heavy" games, the screen fades in the sun. | Acer Iconia Tab A1-713HD 3G 16GB 16 GB The display of the tablet has an IPS-matrix with a resolution of 1280x800 and a density of 216 pixels per inch. The specialists of www.ferra.ru noted a good range of backlight brightness and a good colour gamut of the display, although its colours are not as rich as those of more expensive tablets. The contrast of the display is at a height, the colours are slightly distorted at an angle, the only thing that upsets is that the image fades on the street on a sunny day. The front panel of the Acer Iconia Tab A1-713HD is made of white plastic, and the back cover — metal — silver. According to ferra.ru, unlike many tablets and smartphones, the Acer body heats up slightly during games and recharging. The Acer Iconia Tab A1-713HD has the largest amount of internal memory among our five tablets . 16 GB is enough for a lot of applications, photos, MP3s, and even a few feature films. The standard RAM is 1 GB. The quad-core processor and video adapter of the tablet can easily cope with the smooth display of the operating system interface, video playback, surfing the Internet and not the most "heavy" programs. If you are a fan of dynamic resource-intensive games, then it is better to pay attention to more powerful tablets. But the camera of the tablet has the highest resolution among the models in our review: 5 MP. The A1-713HD is an interesting option in terms of value for money. Please note that there is a very similar model on the market — Acer A1-713 without the HD prefix. Its main difference is a lower screen resolution (1024x600) with a lower pixel density (170 ppi). |
![]() Dual SIM support, good sound, smart photo modes, direct communication over Wi-Fi, various body colours. Not the best display, poor camera resolution. | Asus tablets with 3G telephony feature are represented by Fonepad series, which includes models with displays with a diagonal of 7 and 8" and support for one or two SIM cards. Fonepad 7 FE170CG is a 7-inch Dual-SIM model available in black and white. The model is made in the corporate style of Asus: with rounded edges of the case and a back cover made of plastic with an embossed coating. This coating reduces the likelihood of the device slipping out of your hands and collects fingerprints less. The screen of the device is made using TN technology and has a resolution of 1024x600 at a density of 170 pixels per inch. If such characteristics are quite acceptable for a cheaper model from Explay, then we would like a higher resolution from an Asus tablet — like the similarly priced Acer Iconia Tab A1-713HD. But the combination of a dual-core Intel Atom processor with Hyper-Threading technology and a graphics accelerator allow us to recommend this tablet to fans of mobile games. The amount of RAM and internal memory in Asus Fonepad 7 is standard for this class of devices: 1 GB and 8 GB, respectively. Asus Fonepad 7 has two cameras: front for video calling and 2-megapixel rear panel with autofocus and the ability to record 720p video. The camera resolution, of course, is small, but the manufacturer compensates for this with numerous additional functions. The tablet is equipped with an image stabilization system and a range of smart photo modes. For example, Asus Fonepad 7 will help you catch a good shot by taking several shots before and after pressing the camera button, and if a random passer-by gets into the frame, you can “remove” him from the photo. Another plus of Fonepad 7 is its loud sound. The speaker is located on the front panel and the sound is not muffled when the tablet is on the table. The tablet supports Miracast technology, which allows you to exchange data with other devices directly via Wi-Fi. |
![]() Quality display, 1.5 GB RAM, can be used as a remote control, back panel trim "under the skin", high-resolution camera for video communication. Not suitable for 3D games, no backlight brightness auto-adjustment. | The Galaxy Tab 4 series is the most low-cost-friendly in Samsung's extensive lineup of tablets. It has several improvements over the popular predecessor Galaxy Tab 3 series still available for sale.< /p> The tablet display is similar in performance to the Acer Iconia Tab screen — 1280x800 pixels, 216 ppi. The screen is of very high quality, which is traditional for Samsung, with rich colours and good viewing angles. Unfortunately, there is no automatic adjustment of the screen backlight brightness. This is forgivable for cheaper models, but I would like to see it in a Samsung tablet. Galaxy Tab 4 is the only one in our review that has 1.5 GB of RAM. This is a definite plus, but you need to remember that the tablet has a rather resource-intensive TouchWiz interface, which “bites off” a considerable amount of memory. The model is available in two versions: this one with 8 GB of memory and its variation with 16 GB. The performance of the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will be enough for most traditional tablet tasks, except for 3D games. Of course, for less money you can buy a more powerful tablet from a little-known Chinese brand, but the model from Samsung will compare favorably with its stability and better service. Galaxy Tab 4 offers a bonus for those who plan to work on a tablet with documents — a convenient Hancom Office mobile office from the Samsung Apps online store. The resolution of the tablet's main camera is 3 megapixels, which is less than that of the cheaper Acer Iconia Tab. But the front camera pleases with a resolution of 1.3 megapixels, providing a better image during video conferences. The body of the tablet is completely made of plastic, while the back cover has a textured coating that feels like leather to the touch. Thanks to this, the device looks richer and does not slip in the hand. Another feature of the Galaxy Tab 4 is a built-in infrared port that allows you to use the tablet as a TV remote control. |
