If there is electricity on the homestead, then the heavy and tedious work associated with digging beds can be mechanized with an electric cultivator Forte EPT-1100. It has enough power (1100 W) to loosen the soil to a depth of up to 20 cm, which is quite sufficient for preparing the land for planting or weeding in a raspberry patch. This device loosens the soil using four steel cutters that spin at speeds of up to 400 rpm, quickly breaking up clods of earth. The cutter block is 35 cm wide, which roughly corresponds to the width of the rows in a compact garden. The cultivator handles are adjustable in height, allowing each user to adjust the equipment to their height. A transport block is attached to the back of the device — a pair of rubberized wheels, allowing the tool to be easily moved from place to place, simply rolling it from one bed to another. However, even without the wheels, carrying it is unlikely to be a big problem, as the cultivator weighs only 9 kg, which is considered a small weight for this type of garden equipment.
Although the electric cultivator Forte EPT-1100 is not as powerful a tool as a gasoline motorblock, it performs its functions well. If you do not plow virgin land but tend to beds and flower beds that are regularly maintained, then this device will become a good helper. In addition to the advantages mentioned above, it's worth noting the low cost of this model — its price is quite attractive even compared to manual garden tools.

The HECHT 738 cultivator is a household-class tool that can be used in any area where there is access to electricity. It is equipped with a motor with a power of 1000 W, working from a standard household network of 230 V. The motor transmits rotation to the working parts through a single-speed worm gearbox. On the output shaft of the gearbox, there are solid-stamped steel cutters (a total of 4 pieces — two on each side). During operation, they rotate at up to 430 rpm, quickly and thoroughly grinding the soil under the cultivator. The geometry and sizes of the working parts allow processing a strip 37 cm wide in one pass and loosening the soil to a depth of up to 20 cm.
Such small and light tools (weighing 8.4 kg in this case), like the HECHT 738, are sometimes called electric shovels because they perform exactly the same function: they dig the soil to a small depth, approximately corresponding to the length of a shovel blade, break up clods of soil, and chop up weed roots. But working with a cultivator is significantly easier than digging beds by hand. This device is equipped with convenient handles, by which the tool can be pressed to the ground, so that the cutters fully penetrate the soil, or pulled towards oneself. Due to its small size, the cultivator is suitable for soil treatment in rows and other narrow places (for example, between bushes, in flower beds, or tree circles), as well as inside greenhouses and hotbeds.
If the HECHT 738 seems not powerful enough for you, we recommend paying attention to its "older brother" — the cultivator HECHT 745, which has 6 cutters and a motor of 1500 W.

Konner&Sohnen is mainly known to consumers for affordable and quality power equipment, primarily consisting of household power generators. In recent years, the product range has been expanded with a family of motor pumps, as well as a line of lightweight cultivators with electric and gasoline traction. The Konner&Sohnen KS 1500T E electric cultivator is a lightweight device (12 kg) for loosening soil in areas where there is a nearby connection to a household socket of 220 V. The object of processing can be flower beds, gardens, greenhouses, or simply land plots that need to be cultivated. The basis of the cultivator is an eco-friendly electric motor with a power of 1200 W, working in tandem with a worm gearbox that determines the only forward speed.
The model is exclusively designed for soil cultivation and cannot use other attachments besides the set of 6 included solid-stamped cutters of Ø 22 cm. The working tool is covered from above by a protective splash guard that prevents stones from scattering during operation. On the rear bracket, a pair of small rubberized wheels are mounted, simplifying transport and operation of the unit. Under the foldable U-shaped handle is a wide start lever. In a non-working state, it is locked from accidental activation by a button on the control panel attached to the right rack. The working width provided by the tool is 45 cm, and the maximum loosening depth is 22 cm. IPX4 electrical protection allows safe operation even in light rain. To increase the range of action, it is allowed to use an extension cable up to 50 m long based on a 3-core cable with a cross-section of 2.5 mm².

The light and efficient electric cultivator Hyundai T1820-E belongs to the category of robust middle-class small garden equipment. The device is equipped with a portable asynchronous electric motor of its own design, with a nominal power of 1500 W. Torque is transmitted through a reliable worm gearbox encased in a durable aluminum alloy housing. The transmission ensures a rotation speed of the working equipment without load at the level of 400 rpm, which is sufficient for effective processing of land plots of various densities.
The rear of the cultivator is equipped with a transport block with 2 rubberized wheels, having an adjustment mechanism with several fixed positions for movement and work. Ergonomic handles with G-shaped grips allow easy control of the cultivator, performing complex maneuvers on the land plot. The close proximity of the control panel with the start lever and safety button enables the motor to be started without unnecessary bending. The model comes with 6 steel blade cutters, ensuring a work front width of 40 cm with a maximum loosening depth of 20 cm. Too deep burial of the cutters in the soil, high soil density, or its rocky structure can cause the overheating relay to trip, automatically shutting off the engine.

The Hyundai T2000-E electric cultivator belongs to the high-priced segment of the summer cottage class agricultural machinery and, in its functional capabilities, except for the range of action, is hardly inferior to mid-range models with internal combustion engines. The device is equipped with a powerful 2000 W electric motor, providing efficient processing of beds on loam, sandy, and well-tended soils. Despite the high power, the engine surprisingly operates without excessive noise (82 dB). Hyundai's excellent electric characteristics impose low requirements on the parameters of the connecting cable, which can be safely used for connection. The device works without problems with small section wires (1.5 mm²).
Among electric motor devices, the cultivator looks bulky and heavy (30 kg). A substantial weight and large dimensions worsen the machine's maneuverability and handling, but positively affect the maximum width and depth of loosening (45x26 cm). Rotation from the engine is transmitted to a reliable chain reducer with the involvement of a V-belt clutch. The manufacturer assures that no more than 5% of the engine's torque is lost during this process, allowing maximum use of the power unit's potential. The use of the clutch mechanism and the presence of a subsoiler bring this model closer to "adult" gasoline motorblocks. Included with the cultivator are 4 saber-shaped steel blade cutters Ø 28 cm and disk edge cutters, which are installed in pairs on both sides of the reducer.
The front of the garden machine is equipped with a small transport wheel, and on the back of the frame — a height-adjustable V-shaped handle mounting bar. The control panel is mounted under the right handle. It has a contact socket for connecting the power cable, as well as a lock button for accidental start and an engine start lever, which must be pressed simultaneously when starting the engine. Under the left hand is a clutch lever transmitting rotation to the working cutters. In general, the cultivator meets users' expectations and effectively handles work on small plots up to 10 acres.
