Let's talk about stylish and high-quality Android smartphones that are definitely worth your attention and fully justify their low price.

Slim body, build quality, good battery life, front camera.< /div>
Mediocre main camera, no slot for memory card.

Fly IQ4516 Tornado Slim 16 GB / 1 GB

We can immediately tell that this is an incredibly thin smartphone with a thickness of only 5.15 mm. Interestingly, the Fly product bears the proud title of "The Thinnest Smartphone of 2014". Moreover, its thickness should not raise suspicions about the fragility of the device — this is completely in order.

Fly IQ54516 Tornado Slim is a one-piece non-separable monoblock, the body of which is made of aluminium alloy. The same material is present on the ends of the device. The front and back panels are covered with the famous Gorilla Glass 3, so that the phone can be safely used even without a protective case.

There is a micro-sim slot on the right side, the upper side is empty, but the bottom is a 3.5 audio output mm, microphone and micro-USB port. By the way, the back side is absolutely smooth, it has a microphone, a camera lens with a flash and speakers in its area.

The design of the phone pleases and, of course, the neatly mounted smartphone screen harmoniously fits here. The Super AMOLED matrix has proven itself on a variety of devices, both in direct sunlight and indoors. The contrast and colour reproduction of the display is satisfactory. The 4.1-inch capacitive display has a decent resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, that is, HD format. An interesting feature is the “Gloves” screen mode, which allows the sensor to work with tactile contact with, of course, mittens and gloves.

1.7 GHz 8-core processor with 1 GB of RAM in combination with a video accelerator allow It is easy for a smartphone to play Full HD videos, 3D games and work with top applications without any problems. Built-in memory is 16 GB, of which only 10 will be available. Alas, there is no slot for a memory card.

The phone works out of the box on Android 4.2.2. A strong 2050 mAh battery also provides operation in power saving mode. Official data says that the phone will provide up to 8 hours of continuous talk time, and in standby mode it will last up to 140 hours. Given the relevance of 3G Internet, we can judge that Fly will work in this way up to 3.5 hours from a single charge.

8 MP cameras with a maximum photo resolution of 3264 by 2448 pixels, video cameras with Full HD recording and a 5 MP front camera will be enough for the average user. The gadget has an interesting “Face Beauty” feature that allows you to change skin tone and even facial features. Fly IQ54516 Tornado Slim is a really nice and beautiful phone, besides, it has competitive hardware.

Aluminium housing, dual SIM, high-quality sound, 32 GB internal memory.
Weak battery, missing memory card slot.

Lenovo S90 16 GB / 1 GB

Another smartphone in our selection can be safely called a "double" of the mentioned iPhone 6. For the sake of truth, this is not so in the characteristics themselves, as in appearance. Moreover, developers from China have worked hard, making the weight and thickness of the phone exactly the same as that of the American counterpart: 129 grams and 6.9 mm, respectively.

The smartphone is entirely made of aluminium. Uncharacteristic for this class of gadgets, Lenovo's one-piece metal case is one of the significant advantages, especially if you start from its price. Side faces in such a pleasant accompaniment (with curved shapes and missing sharp lines) are perceived very positively. Alas, in view of this fact, the phone can easily slip out of your hand during use, so, most likely, just the same case will come in handy here.

The speakers are designed in such a way that the sound passes through a series of round holes on the bottom before than to achieve the goal, in fact, like the sixth model of the iPhone. There is also a USB port. At the top end there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The volume of the smartphone from Lenovo is controlled by the switch on the right, there is also a device lock button.

The screen of the S90, oddly enough, differs from the well-known analogue: a five-inch display, instead of 4.7". Thus, Lenovo's display turned out to be more elongated. Its resolution was the usual 1280 by 720 pixels, which, in general, will be enough for a good picture. Oleophobic coating protects the screen from scratches. The smartphone from Lenovo is equipped with a Super AMOLED matrix, but here, alas, the colours are rather dull. Having a high contrast ratio and good viewing angles, in addition to a narrow colour spectrum, one also complains about the brightness.

Inside, the device hides a 64-bit 4-core processor and a video accelerator responsible for graphics. RAM is only 2 GB. The smartphone supports 2 SIM cards at once, one of which can work with an LTE network.

In the mode of a running game, a 2300 mAh battery will last only 3 hours, which is a rather weak indicator. The front camera here, like the previous model, will please 8 MP and the presence of an LED flash. The main camera has 13 MP and looks decent. Of the interesting features — musical compositions can be switched by shaking the phone. Comfortable price and high-quality design solutions — in general, this is what can play a decisive role when choosing Lenovo S90 as an “iPhone replacement”.

Appearance, body materials, build quality, camera.
Lack of LTE and NFC, little built-in memory.

Huawei Ascend P6 8 GB / 2 GB

Next up is one of the thinnest phones on our list at just 6.18mm thick. Focus not only on the filling, but also on design, Chinese engineers tirelessly surprise spoiled consumers. Stylish and attractive Android-smartphone, the body shape of which resembles a rectangle with slightly cut corners, has dimensions of 132.7 by 65.5 mm.

Ascend P6 can be said briefly about it: a good balance in work and excellent ergonomics. The back panel of the phone is metal, and the front part and the screen are traditionally protected thanks to the sought-after Gorilla Glass. The case itself is a monolith, and the parts are interconnected almost flawlessly, that is, the user will not hear any squeaks. Excellent sound is the merit of a loud speaker, besides, the interlocutor during a conversation can be heard just fine. The bottom edge houses the main microphone, while the top has a USB input and an additional microphone. At the bottom left is a standard headphone jack. On the right side panel is a connector for flash-memory and micro-SIM. On the back side you can also find a camera with a flash, which, unlike the camera in the iPhone 6, does not protrude beyond the line of the body.

The display dimensions here are the same 4.7", and the IPS matrix boasts good viewing angles with HD display resolution — 1280 by 720 pixels. With this smartphone, you can work under sunlight without significant loss of visual information, and the sensor supports up to 10 simultaneous touches.

The P6 model has a Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh. A good enough option for this kind of smartphone, because the phone will last about 14 hours in standard use. Alas, this model does not support the 4G network, and Bluetooth comes with version 3.0 by default. Speaking of RAM, it is 2 GB, and the internal one is only 8 GB.

Having two cameras, the smartphone is not particularly suitable for the role of a full-fledged replacement for the camera, but for Instagram lovers, its 8 MP for the main and 5 MP on the front camera. Photos of this Huawei model can be compared with photos taken on the iPhone 5, which is also quite significant. Of the nice features regarding shooting — quick focus mode and shooting video in Full HD. You will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound recorded on the video.

With the Android 4.2.2 operating system, the phone runs smoothly, as it is optimized quite well. Huawei Ascend P6 can be called a good alternative to the iPhone on Android. Smooth operation, bright design and well-chosen proportions make buyers pay attention to it. Yes, the power is far from that of the iPhone 6, but this is perhaps the only obvious drawback along with a lot of beneficial advantages.

Screen quality, great sound and powerful speaker, design, 8-core processor.
No memory card, large dimensions.

Meizu MX4 16 GB / 2 GB

Meizu – far from the biggest and most famous smartphone manufacturer, but still he has managed to earn the respect of the public. Of course, the manufacturing company has not yet reached its peak, but on the example of Meizu MX4 you can already see that they are moving in the right direction.

The modern MX4 phone, like most devices of this class, has a nice design, Fairly acceptable build quality. The only thing that catches your eye is the dimensions, which here exceed the average norm. The surface of the case is rough to the touch, made of plastic. The bezel is made of aluminium, but on the outside it is decorated to match the body colour. The decision is debatable, because the shine of the metal gives the device a certain solidity. The back cover of the MX4 is lighter than the rest of the details. By the way, the case of this smartphone is a full-fledged candy bar.

By removing the back panel, you can only replace the SIM card, because changing the battery will not be possible. Meizu also lacks a memory card slot. The Gorilla Glass 3 on the front of the smartphone also comes as no surprise. Further — everything is according to the standard: a speaker covered with a metal grill is located on the top, as well as a power button and a screen lock. In this regard, everything is quite conservative and convenient. The speakers are located at the bottom, and therefore the sound will be heard no worse than that of the apple device itself, because in terms of sound, the MX4 really does not graze the rear: despite the high volume, the speaker will not lock or wheeze.

The screen dimensions are 70 by 117 mm with a diagonal of 5.36". The resolution, unlike the mentioned analogs, will seriously please, because here we finally meet the coveted 1920 by 1152 pixels. The IPS touch matrix from the legendary Sharp helps to reproduce colours with sufficient quality and naturalness. As for the multi-touch technology, it handles with 10 simultaneous touches without problems.

The MX4 impresses with the number of megapixels of the main camera — as much as 20.7, while the front one is only 2 MP. Fast autofocus and the ability to shoot in 4k is a good bid for leadership in our top. In addition, the phone supports LTE networks, not to mention 3G.

The MX4 runs on Android 4.4, and therefore gesture control is taken for granted here. Four powerful Cortex-A17 cores clocked at 2.2GHz sit next to four other less powerful cores clocked at 1.7GHz. 2 GB RAM paired with a graphics accelerator. It's no secret that the smartphone runs on the MediaTek platform, being one of the most powerful in its class.

3100 mAh is enough to not feel discomfort during a busy day with calls, and in reading mode, the phone will allow you to immerse yourself in favorite work for as long as 12 hours, without interrupting the owner with requests for an additional charge. In the included game mode, things with the battery are, of course, worse — it will give only 3.5 hours of fun. Not the lowest price will not scare away those who really delved into all the advantages of the MX4, because such a rich range of functions in one gadget is definitely worth the money.

Xiaomi Mi 4 16 GB / 2 GB

Finally, we'll talk about one of the best smartphones in China and possibly beyond. Again, we can repeat talking about a strong camera and a design similar to the one we saw on the iPhone. But Mi4, first of all, is a smartphone that captivates and impresses with its quality in all aspects. Starting from the characteristics, ending with positive user reviews.

Xiaomi Mi4 is not just “another Chinese smartphone”. Despite some similarity with the product of the company from Cupertino, the design of Mi4 is quite original and gives off individuality, and the language does not dare to say that it (the design) is completely copied. Everything ingenious is simple: there are three keys on the front panel, and at the bottom there are light sensors and a case frame, which is made of stainless steel. Fortunately or unfortunately, the back panel is made of plastic, but after learning that the Mi4 designers offer more than 20 interchangeable panels for every taste, there is no doubt that the plastic panel is definitely a plus. The build quality is excellent and will not cause any negative feelings. Everything here is reliable and strong.

Mi4 dimensions can be interpreted as quite acceptable in the modern industry: 139.2 by 68.5 and 8.9 mm. Weight of 149 grams and a five-inch screen — these facts tell us about a good balance and maintaining the correct ergonomics of the device. It will not take long to get used to the phone, because it lies quite comfortably in the hand. Below the display are three backlit touch buttons, namely: Menu, Home and a back button. On the right side is the volume rocker. All available buttons are pressed easily and without much noise, and thanks to the aforementioned backlight, it is convenient to work with a smartphone even in the dark. Finishing about the design, let's say that on the left side you can find a micro-USB hole, and on top there is a microphone and an 8 MP front camera.

Mi4 has a 5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, with a pixel density value of as much as 441 per square inch. The Mi4 has a protective glass with an oleophobic coating, which is designed to reliably protect the device from scratches and small chips. Image quality is excellent given the good viewing angles. In the sun, the picture, alas, noticeably pales, although it remains visible as a whole.

6 lenses and 13 MP — this is exactly what Xiaomi smartphone developers have provided with a built-in camera. The secondary camera is also much better than those found on the edges of the competition. Shooting video in 4k, and even more so in 1080p, is not a problem at all, besides, there is also a slow motion mode. A 3080 mAh battery will allow you to not think about where you put the charger for at least a whole day.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with a quad-core processor and a frequency of 2.5 GHz is responsible for the performance in Mi4. There is also 3 GB of RAM, an impressive 16 GB or 32 GB of internal memory (depending on configuration). Unfortunately, the expansion of capabilities using a memory card is not provided here.

Of course, Xiaomi Mi4 is a strong and high-quality phone, complaints about which, if they slip, are rather of a “cosmetic” nature. This unit completely destroys all the myths that Chinese phones cannot fully compete with famous brands, and at the same time adequately closes our top "iPhone substitutes".
